We discovered Aan de Bergen Guesthouse which was the perfect place to stay after a long trip. We especially enjoyed the confort of the room, Swimming area atmosphère, warmness of the hospitality, and the location in the heart of Swellendam.

Our family stayed here during the festive season coming to a music festival where our son was a DJ on New Year’s Eve. We were all Warmly welcomed and treated with the best service , the garden is so beautiful and peaceful and then we were not prepared for the rain , but quickly we were given some warm clothes to save the day. Excellent

It was initially supposed to be a camping weekend, but after a night and a day under the rain, we just decided to upgrade for a night. The owner accommodated us last minute and gave us a nice comfy room to recover from this wet day on the mountain. Great hot shower and super comfy bed.

There were some confusion with the pictures shown on the booking we made but a different property provided to us.The owners also did not speak to us directly,but other than that the accommodation we were given turned out great,we had the whole house all to ourselves.The house was well equiped and cozy.The view around the property was so lovely we took the most beautiful family pictures.we could barbecue and enjoy our meal on the porch while taking in the view.Generally a very nice place for a family of four.

Aan De Bergen is a very nice guesthouse with friendly owners, who are able to tell you a lot about the things to do in and around Swellendam. We outside balcony is lovely to sit and enjoy the Mountain View! Our room was nice and big, but we missed two wine glasses and the bathroom was rather 'minimal'. The room could win a lot more space if some of the cupboards were taken out.

Lovely room, wood panelled off a timber verandah. John and his wife were great hosts. Netflix was a great bonus. Recommend the steaks in Barrel and Blues.
