Swakopmund Plaza Hotel

A modern hotel with attractive contemporary design, fresh bathrooms, comfortable rooms, and a very good breakfast with several healthy options. The central location makes it easy to explore Swakopmund on foot. Unfortunately, one interaction with an assistant manager came across as unnecessarily condescending, which contrasted sharply with the professionalism of the rest of the staff. My room also did not include complimentary bottled water. As an international traveler, I would have appreciated bottled water or a clearly identified filtered-water option.

fantastic room just needs a light switch at the bed so you don't have to walk the green mile to turn it off. TV too far away from main bed, but lovely balcony and bath

During our Namibia road trip, we chose the Plaza Hotel in Swakopmund as our base for exploring the town. Its location was very central, making all the sights and many restaurants within walking distance. Our room was very spacious and clean, and offered good free Wi-Fi. A good breakfast and parking directly at the hotel were included in the price. The friendly staff at reception gave us some great restaurant recommendations. We can recommend this hotel for a short stay to explore the town, as it's located right in the heart of Swakopmund.
