A place to be

We had a wonderful time here! The apartment was beautiful with a stunning view of the beach. The restaurant, Salt, has some great food for both breakfast and dinner. Staff here were very kind and friendly to us. It is located right on the beach so you can go for a nice walk along the beach at any time. It’s between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay so has easy access to both towns for travellers. You’ll really enjoy your time here.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect for us as we were close to both Swakopmund and Walvis Bay for tourist activities. The room was wonderful, especially the view out to sea. The bed was comfy and we had what we needed although it does have a kitchen and there were no plates etc provided. The food at the connecting restaurant, Salt, where we had included breakfast but extra dinners was very good although we noticed that despite not that busy, both evenings the food took quite some time to come out. The staff though were very helpful and friendly. Pricing was fine for us. We had a concern with the TV and the staff attended immediately to sort it out but was informed there were no channels and only Netflix or YouTube so that’s something to be aware of. Also, there was no AC in the room but the room was cool for us and it is quite cool at night so you could open the sliding door in theory. There was a hot/cold fan in the cupboard as well. As with most places in Namibia, there isn’t much public transport so it is best to have a vehicle when staying here. Overall, a very good two night stay with helpful and friendly staff and a comfy place to sleep with amazing views. There is a pool and spa but we were busy and didn’t use these facilities so therefore unable to comment.

The hotel felt like home away home. Downside is the pool maintenance and air conditioning. Happy client💯

The hotel is a stone throw away from the beach, with a restaurant that has a beautiful ocean view. The rooms are spacious and clean with ocean facing balconies. Everyone (staff) is friendly and helpful - they even help arrange activities for you a few days before your stay 😊

We stayed for a few nights and the rooms were modern and beautiful, exactly as shown online, with a private balcony and lovely views of the Atlantic Ocean shoreline. The showers worked well and always had hot water. Salt, the on-site restaurant, is beautifully decorated and offers a tasty but limited lunch and dinner menu, while breakfast options remain largely the same each day. The breakfast was also quite dry. It’s necessary to book ahead for dinner as it gets very busy. One morning, the chef reacted angrily to late breakfast orders after 10am, which was uncomfortable to witness. Service was generally fine and transport was efficiently arranged when needed. One receptionist made unnecessary comments though and on one occasion, a tour operator was incorrectly told I was not a guest, but thankfully they followed up by email. Overall, despite some issues with the restaurant and service, it was a good stay and we would still recommend Bayview Resort Hotel.
