Great location, and parking is super convenient. Once you've parked, it's easy to walk or bike (the hotel offers free bikes) to Shiquan Street, Wuque Bridge, and Canglang Pavilion. The room key card is pretty unique, and it's a pet-friendly hotel! Breakfast is quite varied and plentiful. They have everything you'd expect, with lots of made-to-order options, and the oatmeal was delicious 😋. Happy hour includes beer, red and white wine, and even specific cocktails. The snacks weren't particularly diverse, but the crab shell pastries were quite tasty. Overall, it's a charming boutique hotel. This hotel is really great, and the views are fantastic too. The aesthetics have a beautiful Song Dynasty feel. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was incredibly comfortable. In the mornings, I could sit in the rocking chair, enjoying the scent of the flowers, and at night, I could watch the moon. The hotel breakfast was excellent (I absolutely loved the smoked fish!). The food at Zhuquxuan was also delicious (it truly deserves its Black Pearl rating!). Suzhou weather can be unpredictable. When it rained, instead of sightseeing, it was much nicer to just sit in the hotel bar, enjoying a drink and watching the rain.
