In Butuan for vacation since it’s been 5 years. Friendly staff..but when we went, I didn’t realized the swimming pool was under repair so that was a little disappointing . I’ll make sure to call next time.

Everytime I come home, Watergate is my home.❤️ My one call away friend, Kate, deserves a big shoutout because she's always helping me with my bookings. I know there are times that she's not on duty, she always finds way to help me. This is one of the good things I love about watergate, they are willing to go extra mile for their guests!❤️ My current stay here in watergate became extra because they prepared a welcome note for me inside my room. The Ferra Resort Siargao is a small complex of Villette, very seafront, really suggestive. Very nice and available staff, when not present (the reception is not open 24/24), they are still very fast to answer you via WhatsApp. Excellent location, being seafront, 200 metres from a RistoBar, reachable walking. Not near the city centre General Luna, you need to move with TulTuk (about 150 pesos). As the structure is rich in vegetation, it is absolutely necessary to take account of a lot of insects, whether they want or not... they forcefully enter the room, just open the door a second! But this is the beautiful nature... To have insect repellent so that you can be ready. The front beach does not offer much space, but it is not used by anyone, so for anyone who wants to be in a quiet place, it is the right place. There are many free dogs around the island: I had almost adopted one :) There is no interior restaurant, but every room is equipped with a drop of water, also present in the “dining area”, Where you can also use a American coffee shop and microwave. They also offer sea and land excursions directly at the reception. I really found myself very well, despite the first day of rain, I enjoyed my front-sea villa. I strongly advise you, for those who want to spend a few healthy days of relaxation at sea.

One of my favorite travel stories took place here at the Almont Hotel. First a little description of the setting - the hotel is situated on a typical Spanish style town square with an old colonial Catholic church and a central small park with a bandstand and small kiosk businesses around the square. For the second time I was stranded in Butuan, this time due to a delayed flight from Manila arriving close to midnight causing me to spend the night there before continuing on the next day. Remembering my pleasant previous stay at the Almont, I checked in there a little after midnight into a pleasant second floor room. I had just fallen asleep when I felt someone shaking my bed! I woke up but there was nobody there! Ghosts? No. an earthquake! I had experienced earthquakes before so jumped out of bed grabbed a sheet, wrapped it around myself and headed out of the room and down the stairs and into the street joining the other hotel guests who were similarly wrapped in sheets and bedclothes all excitedly milling about while the ground was still shaking.! Suddenly all the power in Butuan went out and with it all the lights as well! It was a starless, moonless night and the square was pitch black and several screams and louder talking arose when suddenly a bright white cross appeared in the sky! I'm sure that everyone fell to their knees in prayer, certain that the end of the world was at hand and this was the Rapture. We were going to meet our maker! Gradually a few generators came to life - the first being the one in the church which was responsible for lighting the cross at the top of the steeple. We were all saved! And given a second chance to atone for our sins! I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I enjoy retelling it again and again! BTW Butuan as well as much of the Philippines is no stranger to earthquakes with many small tremors every year. But the Almont was completely undamaged and I will feel safe there the next time I stay there!

It was one of our favorite resort in Butuan City This was our First Resort Escapade for the year 2023 and it was indeed a well spent Staycation at Almont Inland Resort. Room Accomodation : The best area indeed since it is near the Kids Pool and we can enjoy the accomodation while letting the kids enjoy playing with other kids in the pool. Food : We do love thier variety of pizza flavors a must try at this place. This were aside from the sumptuous buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amenities : The resort's pool is one of the best here in butuan City. You can enjoy it from 7AM up to 9PM and have your foods serve at the cottages near it. One thing I love in this resort is the value of nature. Beautiful sceneries and very lavish green sorroundings that help you calm and forget the busy and noisy scene of the City. We will again visit this place from time to time since we love to bring our family in this resort and get a escape of a busy City Scenario. A great place to Relax and Unwind..

It is an unexpectedly good hotel. Originally rushed to the Internet celebrity Bayud, but after seeing the house, I felt that the price of Bayud was high and the room was small, so I turned my head and looked for this one on the same beach, and I was very satisfied! The style of the hotel is more traditional, all room types are the same and facing the sea! There is no pressure to choose barriers to stay. The whole room and living room are well-lit, very quiet, large floor-to-ceiling windows, fully equipped, from surround sound bluetooth speakers, water dispenser, refrigerator, coffee machine, everything is available, facing the sea in the morning, waking up in the sun, sitting in the living room listening to music and eating breakfast (Room service is available) The experience is great. Before leaving, the lady boss arranged for me to have lunch in the seaside pavilion. I was in a hurry when I checked in. The proprietress still arranged very meticulously. I have stayed in many hotels. This is the only one to send a welcome letter. There are also serious fruits on the plate. The Korean food in the restaurant is easier to meet the Chinese taste. Invited me and my friends to join their barbecue dinner, the Mindanao beef served in the shop is too plump and juicy! Come again next time

Close to SM Mall and not too far from Butuan Airport. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are clean. Accommodation is also cheap compared to the surrounding area, so it is good value for money. Breakfast and coffee are provided for free and I have made three return visits.

The room turned out to be a tiny closet 6m², not 15, like was in the offer. Thin walls, fan and other ambient and guests noises. Ants inside. I came at 1.30 and was told to wait 30 minutes until 2 sharp 'due to the regulations ', although the room was ready. This was my first time I was demanded to wait till 2.00 to check in when I arrived a few minutes earlier. The staff was nice and the place is beside SM Mall. One can find this kind of service for a lower price. Never gonna stay there again.
