Empire Hotel

just changed to Sunday Hotel from Empire Hotel. but not ready to fully operate, no water heater, cleanness in the room not so good (got cuttonbud), the pillow is also too thin. Luckily we stayed only for 1 night. hopefully they fix this before operating.

Hotel slight run down with poor maintenance and only 1 lift operation.

Location is excellent but hotel has now gone downhill. Used to have nice lobby with a good size restaurant, now all gone. Reception is in a guestroom with just a laptop and an old desk. Only 1 elevator working for past couple years. Used to be called Empire hotel but is now split into 3 entities with 3 separate management. Staff are changing constantly and all did not seem to have proper training, discipline, or professionalism. Whole place is very run down and housekeeping is also acting as general maintenance with no proper tools supplied to them and no propee training. Drapes are very filthy and dusty all over. Used to be 4 star hotel, now maybe 2 stars. Sad that a hotel with such fantastic location, has turned so horribly wrong as it has such great potential.

I walked out of my room and prepared to check out the room I accidentally left my handphone in the room, and a cleaner found it and immediately informed me. Forgot to ask the cleaner name, should have asked him. Very impressive and big thumbs up.

The room was clearly not well maintained — there were signs of wear and tear, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. Most notably, there was an unpleasant, musty smell lingering in the room, which made it quite uncomfortable to stay in. Despite our plans to relax, we ended up checking out the same day due to the condition of the room. For the price and the reputation of the hotel, I had expected a more pleasant and comfortable environment. Hopefully, management takes the necessary steps to improve room upkeep and ensure a better experience for future guests.

One of the worst hotels that I have stayed at as a regular APAC business traveller. The hotel is in a mess. Renovation is on going, no house keeping, and a faulty towel flushing system that I need to coax them for 3 days to fix This is my first and very last stay with this hotel.

There are hairs on the table and bed and cockroaches in the toilet; they come out when we are having a bath. No daily housekeeping as we stay for 2 nights, meaning no refill of toilet roll and mineral water. No wifi provided, lousy door lock system.
