Booked last minute online driving up Spain this was a golden find. Slightly difficult for the Sat Nav to find on a dark wet night. Parking is limited but adequate unless the hotel is packed. The staff were welcoming with an adequate grasp of English/French. The hotel is spotless and has a very charming character with asymmetric rustic furniture/decor throughout that unbelievably blends so well together.Bedrooms/bathrooms are comfortably adequate but definitely not high-tech. WiFi is free and a good speed.
The restaurant offers a limited selection of superb meals in the evenings (you would not want to eat elsewhere after sampling it), and breakfast has a fine and unlimited cold food selection, and a great help yourself coffee/late machine. You can buy great value wines with your meals but beer/lager was not available.
The hotel is in a quiet location and is dog friendly for small breeds. Well situated if waiting for ferry crossings (25 min drive)
I would 100% recommend the hotel as good value for money, extremely charming with food to die for, and would definitely book again if the need arises.

The property is an old mansion turned in the hotel. Location is terrible in the middle of nowhere, the restaurant is nice, downstairs sitting area is nice, but… no elevator, it’s dark to get up the wooden stairs and you have to look for switch to continue the climb. The room is small, sp**** and stuffy. No screen on the window , so when we had to open the window in order to breathe, we were bitten by mosquitoes. I didn’t sleep at all. No coffee station or kettle in the room. Wasted money

A beautiful quaint rustic hotel, the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The room was very comfortable and spotless.
We have stayed in many places in Spain and this was by far our favourite and the friendliest. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Hotel, full of old Court / Country House charm, staff were exceptional, Best nights sleep I had. Beautiful views and an easy 2km walk to town centre and amazing beaches. Well worth a stop over, I will definitely return x

Although the staff spike little english and i speak very little spanish, they made us feel very welcom and were very helpful, even going to the trouble of translating and printing a menu for us. And the evening food was very good standard and excellent value

Buscábamos un lugar tranquilo para desconectar de la rutina y encontramos esta posada con encanto. Desde el primer momento nos sentimos como en casa. La posada es una antigua casona de piedra, restaurada con mucho gusto y conservando su encanto original. Las habitaciones son acogedoras y confortables, decoradas con un estilo rústico y elegante. Lo mejor de la posada es sin duda la comida. Todos los platos están elaborados con productos frescos de temporada, muchos de ellos de la huerta propia. La cocina es tradicional, pero con un toque de modernidad. Destacamos la mermelada casera, ¡deliciosa! El trato del personal es inmejorable. Son amables, atentos y siempre dispuestos a ayudarte. Te hacen sentir como si fueras parte de la familia. La posada también cuenta con un jardín precioso, donde puedes relajarte leyendo un libro o disfrutando del sol. También hay una piscina, perfecta para refresc**** en los días calurosos. En definitiva, una experiencia inolvidable. ¡Volveremos seguro!

Las habitaciones son sencillas pero acogedoras, perfectas para descansar y desconectar. Y la comida... ¡menuda maravilla! Todo producto cántabro de primera calidad, muchos de ellos de la huerta propia. Los platos son caseros y deliciosos, y el desayuno es una auténtica pasada. El trato del personal es inmejorable. Te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer momento, siempre atentos a tus necesidades. Y si te gusta disfrutar del aire libre, la casa tiene un jardín precioso y una piscina para refresc**** en los días calurosos. En definitiva, una casa rural 100% recomendable. ¡Repetiremos seguro!

Pasamos una semana en esta posada y la experiencia fue inmejorable. La posada en sí es encantadora, con habitaciones sencillas pero acogedoras. Lo mejor sin duda es la comida: producto cántabro de primera calidad, cocinado con cariño y esmero. Se nota que tienen huerta propia, ya que las verduras y frutas son frescas y deliciosas. El trato del personal es excepcional. Te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer momento, siempre atentos a tus necesidades y dispuestos a ayudarte en todo lo que puedan. El desayuno es otro punto fuerte: completo, variado y con productos de calidad. Además, la posada cuenta con un jardín precioso y una piscina ideal para relaj**** después de un día de turismo. En definitiva, un lugar perfecto para disfrutar de una escapada rural en Cantabria. ¡Recomendable 100%! Lo mejor: Comida excelente con productos cántabros de calidad Trato del personal cercano y familiar Desayuno completo y variado Jardín y piscina Lo peor: No hay nada que destacar Recomendación: Reservar con antelación, especialmente en temporada alta.

Nuestro experiencia ha sido nefasta. La habitación pequeña con una televisión ridícula. No hay persianas y tampoco cortinas para impedir la entrada de la luz. No hay manera de pegar ojo, el ruido es constante. Lo peor de todo es la limpieza, el baño con capas de cal acumuladas de años, la bañera y los suelos llenos de matojos de pelos , polvo y suciedad que se aprecian a simple vista. Excesivamente caro para lo que ofrece. No volveríamos aunque nos regalaran la estancia. Parece que está sacando de una película de terror!
