We have been coming to this hotel for several years now. It used to be our favorite place for a long weekend getaway — somewhere we could relax, switch off, and know everything would simply work. That’s why it makes us genuinely sad to say that this time we left disappointed. Unfortunately, the overall standard seems to be declining year after year. The hotel itself deserves more care and gradual renovation. Even the main “red carpet,” which once felt elegant and welcoming, has clearly seen better days. It may seem like a small detail, but it reflects the overall feeling. What surprised us the most was the attitude of the staff. A smile or even a simple greeting felt rare. At the spa, there was no service at all — we had to order drinks ourselves at the bar. An empty bottle of champagne then remained on our table for over an hour without anyone noticing. It’s small things like this that make a big difference, and they definitely affect the overall experience. Our room was uncomfortably hot throughout the entire stay, and the temperature couldn’t be regulated. The only solution was to keep the balcony door open, which unfortunately resulted in me catching a cold. To make matters worse, the only elevator that accessed our floor was out of service for the entire stay. Breakfast used to be one of the highlights of our visits, but this time it was disappointing as well. The staff paid little attention to guests, we waited more than 20 minutes for coffee or tea, and the buffet selection was rather limited. To be fair, the housekeeping ladies were excellent — always kind, smiling, and the room was perfectly cleaned every day. They truly deserve recognition. We honestly don’t know what has changed. It’s a real shame, because we used to return here with pleasure and great expectations. We hope the hotel finds its way back to the level it once had — because right now, it simply isn’t the place we remember.
