Excellent Hotel. The location, the rooms, the food and service. I’d love to go back!

Great location Parking at rear of hotel although not obvious where access to car park is. Lovely cosy and clean room. Grady value for money. Only criticism is there was a very limited menu choice. Lovely breakfast great quality Can’t fault the service and friendliness of the staff. Will book again but probably eat somewhere else due to limited choice

The service at the reception as well as the restaurant is excellent. The room is clean and come with coffee machine which is a bonus. The bed is a bit soft for me. The only issue I have is the intermittent water dripping noise from the ceiling of the room (I stayed in room 15) which has affected my sleep. As the room was really really quiet, the dripping noise is quite obvious. I hope it just happened to me.

Loved this quaint little place. Rooms were very well designed given the limited space.

This town was outside our plan and gave us an unexpected surprise. It is a beautiful town, don’t miss it. The hotel room is not big, and there is free parking in the yard behind the hotel. The bathroom is a bit short. My husband is 189cm tall and has to lower his head and cannot stand up straight. Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator. Fortunately, we didn't have to carry too many things up the stairs when we drove. The soundproofing is not very good, you can hear the conversation next door. The breakfast was great and the restaurant manager was very welcoming! Will go here next time.

A cute boutique hotel however I probably wouldn't recommend or return... The hotel has very limited parking which it shares with the restaurant so if you arrive at 3pm for check in likelihood is you won't get a parking space because lunch customers will have taken them. We booked a cosy room (Room number 4) and this was much smaller in person than the pictures make out, the bed was a very small double so a squeeze for two adults. The rooms are old and therefore don't have any air con so even with the window open and the electric fan provided we were very hot during the night. The hotel had loud music playing downstairs in the bar so if you are staying after travelling like we were, expect a pretty sleepless night. The hotel is extremely creaky and we could hear everyone else in their rooms, opening doors and walking on floor boards. I was pleasantly surprised however that we had a bath and a modern bathroom. My partner went down to secure us a breakfast table in the morning at 10:15am after we were told breakfast last orders were 10:30am, he was waiting at the desk and was ignored by the waitress who seated a couple that came in after him first. She then went over to him and asked how she could help, she said it was now too late for breakfast and he had to explain that he had been stood there waiting to be served so actually wasn't late/hadnt missed the time. Breakfast arrived and we were underwhelmed, the menu sounds lovely but everything is so small. I ordered pancakes and was greeted with 3 tiny thin pancakes that would feed a child, my partner had a full English which was equally as underwhelming, I think we counted 10 baked beans...

We stayed at The Sheep for one night. The Hotel was great, ideally positioned in the centre of Stow on the Wold. The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. We had the signature room that was brilliant. We ate in the restaurant for an evening meal and the food was extremely good. The restaurant was busy but with a great atmosphere. Likewise, breakfast the following morning was really good with an extensive choice of food and very friendly staff - the Canadian staff member was extremely friendly. What was nice is the mix of staff in terms of ages and the time that they all made to chat to guests. We noticed this from the time we arrived. It was a perfect night away..
