The complex is huge and it could be great if there weren’t so many misunderstandings. - huge room with fireplace, jacuzzi, spacious bathroom but dirty and old dated. There were used towels in the wardrobe from previous guests - The SPA is like luna park. Full of children who screams and jump in the pools. If you don’t bring a towel from your room, you have to pay for IT in the SPA. - what about the food - it’s poor and tasteless. - a bottle of wine at the shopis 18 BGN. Same bottle of wine in the bar which is 10 meters from the shop is 50 BGN. - it’s time for a party. Let’s go to the “piano bar”. Oh, wait! It’s 11 pm but it’s full of children. They are everywhere, run, jump and climb over tables. What the heck those children doing at midnight at the bar where adults drink alcohol and smoke?? At 11 pm you find out that this is not a piano bar but night club with dj and chalga. This is what you get for 200 € per night.

Excellent resort and spa hotel in Starosel. Staff was very polite and helpful. Rooms are comfortable. The wine production and wine cellars are definately worth seeing. Breakfast and dinner are plentiful. I can recommend this resort based on my own experience.

We have visited the complex quite a number of times. We actually live nearby. The complex itself is absolutely beautiful and the spa water is everything as promised. Wonderful facilities, luxurious setting, and a very relaxing day out. The attitude of the staff, however, leave a lot to be desired. On three occasions the staff in the actual Reception have been very rude. The staff in the restaurant are incredibly slow and often rude also. This is not the case with all of them but it is our experience that they tend not to be very helpful. On the previous two occasions we have visited the attitude of the staff has actually marred our visit.

If you want to do some romantic, small scale winetourism: this is not your place. Man, has it become big-and changed character. The ways between locations are long, rolling your suitcase is bothering everybody because of the cobblestone everywhere. Only the peacock seem not to mind. The dinner was ok, the winetasting unfortunately was a joke. Wine buffs are relaxed people. This was everything else but relaxed. The gentleman who did the introduction on the 3rd of November in the evening was still all right, but when he handed over to the lady in the slightly tacky tasting room underground things started to be rushed. I am sure she is convinced her wines are outstanding, but after tasting 7 wines in 25 minutes, I can not really remember them. And, apart of the first Chardonnay, the were all not outstanding. Not even the terroir, which I remembered as being rather fine. The breakfast had a great variety and quality, supported by loud pop music. Why? I am sure there is a target group for all of this, I am not.

I uplode pictures with description , "amazing" place. Next time clean your rooms and think before extra charge your guests. The food is very delicios, but Super Expensive. For example 1 beer is 3 EUR / 6 BGN .

- 1 point: I'm very disappointed from the condition of the bathroom. The toilet was in awful state - definitely not cleaned for long time, with dirty stains all over and the seat needed to be changed. And on top - a hygiene strap was put on on it! 🤣 Come on, a night there is over 300 BGN! - 1 point: Dirty irons, blinking lights in the room - 1 point: The stuff of on the check-in were very uncooperative and not really polite. + 1 point: The wine tasting tour. The guide was wonderful and did engage the group. + 1 point: The complex overall looks nice and well maintained. This was my second visit and the impressions remain the same after 3 years. Take notes!

The complex is huge, rooms not well sound isolated. Hygiene needs improvement and staff are extremely rude and impolite. The food is so-so. You are being served at the buffet which doesn’t leave a good feeling being measure how much you eat. If you are looking for coziness - forget it.

The hotel is a big disappointment and far from 4+ stars. The rooms are large and nice, but inadequate cleaning. Smells of sewage from the bathroom so the door must always be closed. It is very difficult to change wet towels at the pool, they also want payment for it. The towels are not changed in the room either and are extremely thin and of poor quality. We lived in Trakiiska residencesia. Uncomfortably high prices considering the very poor service we received. Dinner was included in the price, but it was difficult to order drinks due to a lack of staff. Some of the waiters looked downright displeased if you tried to get their attention. You have to wait for a waiter for a long time so you almost finished your food before someone comes to take your order for the drinks including water. The food was ok, but we have been to better places in Bulgaria with better buffet for better price. The cocktails are a failure at sky high prices for Bulgarian standards. Contains almost no alcohol, so you have to stick to wine, grappa or beer. For lunch it is best to visit the restaurant outside the hotel as there is a better menu and much better service. If you decide to have lunch at the hotel, you have to be content with waiting a long time and sometimes fetching food and water yourself from the bar. What surprised us was that if you bill the room, you don't get to know the amount or sign anything. You only sign a bill in the restaurant, but nothing in the spa center or in the bar where you can also have lunch. There is no overview of what is put in the room, I think this was really scary. In the bar, you can just state a room number and say that everything is put on it and that's it. You never know how much they put on the room since you never get a bill. All in all this is a place that is way too commercial and wildly overpriced for what the place offers. Will not return and do not recommend the place even to people who are interested in wine and appreciate good wine tastes.

Very comfortable hotel. It’s like you are in a small village with everything you need for your vacation. It was very, very clean and the staff was very kind. The view from my room was wonderful - a big green meadow. The spa is good. The food wasn’t the best but definitely not bad, just nothing special. It is very green everywhere in the resort and beautiful peafowls are everywhere :) The wine tour is something that is worth it, the wine is very good! Near the resort is an impressive archeological monument - The Thracian Temple Complex is. It’s so inexplicable what the Thracians were capable of!
