The room was great, with a view directly overlooking the Petronas Twin Towers. The front desk service was very warm and friendly, and there was a Chinese-speaking receptionist. The tall, beautiful lady who spoke Chinese was incredibly responsible. She asked if our room still had an odor. We told her that a Black person had stayed in it, and the smell was still there and wouldn't dissipate, so she immediately moved us to another room. In contrast, the English-speaking receptionist just told us it was either cleaning or no room available. We really felt so much more warmth and care from the Chinese-speaking receptionist.

This was my second stay at the hotel, and I still enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are well maintained, and the bed is extremely comfortable. I always have a good night’s sleep whenever I stay here. The breakfast is another highlight, with a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. The only downside for me is the TV. It is not a smart TV, so guests cannot connect their own Netflix or YouTube accounts. There are also very limited channels available, which makes it less enjoyable when relaxing in the room after a long day. Considering this is a four-star hotel, I think upgrading the TV system would greatly improve the guest experience. Overall, it’s still a comfortable and reliable hotel that I would happily return to again.

The classic will always be The classic. Malaysia Shang is no exception. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a very warm Ms Shabana who checked us in smoothly. And while we waited to be checked in, she arranged for us to have some drinks at the cafe which we truly appreciate. Also, a big shoutout and thank you to the team who’s made such a beautiful set up for this birthday staycay- with a cake , fruits and balloons! The birthday boy was pleasantly surprised. What can I say?! All my requests were met and not only that, they exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Shangri La! You’ve made this stay so wonderfully memorable- yet again! Your stellar service is really commendable. Please keep up the excellent job! We will be back for sure!

Had our wonderful 4d3n stays here and especially thanks to Ms Iyda, Guest Manager, for her extra miles service and kind assistance. As my hub is recovering from his leg injury and I hv a special needs child to attend as well, I was looking for 2 interconnecting rooms for 4 of us. Ms Iyda recommended a Special Needs King Room which are lower feature beds and facilities easy accessible for the needy and wheelchair users. We were so impressed with the rooms. I also requested for bday deco and complimentary cakes for both me and my hub and the staff were so nice to decorate both rooms and 2 slice delicious brownies cakes. On 2nd day we had to go for a 1 day Cameron Highland tour so I told Ms Iyda that we will have to miss the hotel bfkst since we had to leave by 6.30am for the coach ride but she was so helpful to arrange for 4 sets of simple takeaway breakfasts for us. So grateful for the extra miles and had our tour journey with the delicious assorted sandwiches, pastries and orange juice. My child enjoyed her fun at free indoor playground Level 2. On our last day check out, we used the Musolla prayer room at Level 4 (no need for card access on level 2 and 4). Most touching was when Ms Iyda handed me with 4 bags of complimentary hotel souvenirs before we made a move. I also requested a pic with her and wishes all the best and much thanks to her, Ms Kila, the conceirge staff, security guards, room attendants and those who have served us during our wonderful stay. Definitely will come back here again. Hotel is also conveniently located at Bukit Bintang, near BTS, Lalaport, Lot 10 and spoilt for choices food and shopping. Busking area is nearby too. Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur

This is a popular 'influencer' hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and it lives up to the hype! The infinity pool faces the Petronas Twin Towers, and the 'starry sky' walkway at night is absolutely perfect for photos. Those two features alone make the room rate worth it. The room itself is spacious, the bed is comfortable, and there's a small private pool, though the water was a bit cold. The 53rd-floor restaurant offers great views. Having a Chinese-speaking front desk staff member was convenient, but there were too many people, making check-in quite slow. The breakfast had a good variety of dishes, but the taste wasn't quite suited for Chinese palates.

Royce Residences KLCC Kuala Lumpur by ALMA ( Rooftop Infinity Pool + 10Mins Walk to KLCC )

The room and location are good; it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Petronas Towers, there's a mini-supermarket right opposite the hotel, and plenty of dining options nearby. However, there's significant room for improvement in hotel management and front desk check-in procedures. I arrived at 3:10 PM. There were two people already checking in, and no one explained how many lines there were or who to queue behind; it was purely up to guests to figure it out. After waiting for half an hour, I was told my room wasn't ready yet. There was a sign on the front desk, specifically in Chinese, stating check-in was at 3 PM. I believe this sign not only restricts Chinese guests but also the hotel itself. I pointed to the sign and questioned why I couldn't check in past the designated time. I was then asked to step out of line and wait for 5 minutes before I could proceed. This hotel's process is very complicated; it takes a long time to check in each person. They then cut me in front of the next person waiting without explaining to the person behind me, which resulted in me getting a stern glare, as if I were being disorderly. I understand the other person's frustration because the front desk's efficiency is just too low. I've stayed in so many hotels in so many places, and I've never seen a check-in queue with two lines, each having 5-6 people. What's the reason for this? They rigidly stick to the 3 PM check-in time, so people from different flights all converge at that hour to check in. The front desk's efficiency is low, yet they insist on this 3 PM rule, almost as if they're being obstinate. I've stayed in other hotels in Malaysia, and they all offer flexible check-in times. When it was finally my turn, a different staff member handled my check-in, but there was no handover, so I had to resubmit all my details and confirmation. Again, where's the professionalism? It's an efficiency issue; the hotel clearly doesn't train its staff well. The same inefficiency extends to check-out. Of the four hotels I've stayed at in Malaysia, this is the only one that requires waiting for a room inspection before refunding the deposit. Imagine how long you'd have to wait for an inspection during peak check-out hours. Doesn't the hotel learn from or communicate with others in the industry? I even contacted the WeChat concierge to request trash disposal and bottled water, but no one came to clean the room from afternoon till evening. I had to go to the front desk in person to get drinking water. The service really doesn't keep up. The location is incredibly convenient for getting around by taxi without it being expensive, but the service is truly subpar. The hotel needs to modernize and learn from its competitors. Even hotels in smaller cities like Penang refund deposits instantly, and hotels in Langkawi are flexible with deposits, even accepting USD. This hotel, however, tests travelers' abilities by only accepting Malaysian Ringgit for deposits. They really need to broaden their perspective.

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from a shopping mall, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. They kindly arranged an early check-in for me, which was a big plus! The breakfast was rich and varied, with plenty of choices, including fresh-squeezed juice. The dining area wasn't crowded, and the atmosphere was pleasant. You can definitely feel the service standards of a long-standing Sheraton hotel. The downsides are that the hotel is a bit old, the shower drain was slow, causing water to pool, and I found a lot of small ants on the bathroom sink. I reported it to the front desk, and they said they would arrange for pest control.

I’ve had such an amazing stay at The Face Style Hotel! Honestly, the hotel was so comfortable that I didn’t even feel like going anywhere—I just wanted to relax in the room the whole time. I booked the Executive Deluxe City View room, and it was absolutely worth it. The view of KL Tower from my room was stunning, especially at night. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The infinity pool was another highlight. You get a breathtaking panoramic view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, and it’s definitely a must-visit during your stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of delicious food and a wide variety of choices to suit everyone. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing stay with amazing city views. Can’t wait to repeat my stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
