We have a single zone HVAC system for the entire house. The basement is typically about 5 to 7 degrees cooler then the main floor. This difference is most noticeable when it is hot outside and the AC is running. We have found that setting the thermostat (in the hallway on the main floor) to 70 degrees and running the fan is the best way to keep the two levels as equal as possible though they will still be different temperatures. We are happy to provide any advice we can about this system during your stay.
