As a traditional Japanese hotel, the exterior has a charming appeal. While the interior design may not be the most modern, it is still well-maintained and clean. One aspect that truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 rating for service. In terms of facilities, the hotel offers a basic hot spring bath, which was a relaxing experience. However, it's worth noting that there is only one pool for bathing, and the absence of a cold water bath and sauna facilities somewhat limited the options. Therefore, I would rate the facilities as 4 out of 5. Overall, I highly recommend Shima Hantou for a pleasant stay in Shima City. The location, cleanliness, and exceptional service make it a great choice for travelers seeking a traditional Japanese hotel experience."
