Blue Horizons Garden Resort

Perfect location, 5 min from Grande Anse beach and approx 10 min to airport and to St George, the capital. pool to ourselves alot, prob because BBC morne rouge and Grande anse beaches are white talc, safe. accomodation has fridge, freezer, top of the range cooker, comfy beds, aircon, fans, staff are so welcoming and friendly. Ive never felt so relaxed on holiday.. totally got into the Caribbean groove. we had bed and breakfast, tried soursop and fruits never had before. Wish i was there now, thank you Blue Horizons for a perfect holiday

Lovely little resort with lush green vegetation and an abundance of birds. Friendly staff. Clean room with kitchenette and balcony. Close to the beach and supermarket. Small downsides - no courtesy room to change at end of stay, no helpful tourist literature at reception, and very expensive breakfast. Would definitely recommend though.

My husband and I recently spent nine nights at the Blue Horizons Resort. If you like a relaxed and quiet place to stay without a lot of hype, you'll love it. The cottages are set in the gorgeous gardens with palm trees, flowering plants, singing birds and a nice pool area. Our cottage was simple and pretty with a good kitchen, comfortable bed and a balcony from which we could see turquoise Grand Anse Bay with St. Georges and the mountains behind it. Grand Anse Beach, with its white sand and warm water, is just a couple of minutes walk away. It's also easy to walk to Monroe Rouge beach, restaurants, the supermarket and the bus stop where you can catch minibuses into St. Georges and then connect with buses to other parts of the island. I have to commend the awesome staff, as well, who were extremely helpful and friendly. At one point a power surge made our air conditioner quit. Within minutes of informing the office, they had a maintenance man working on the problem and when he couldn't fix it, they brought in an electrician who spent a couple of hours working on it until he solved it. This was all on a Saturday night; we had thought it might be the next day or Monday before it could be fixed. We highly recommend Blue Horizons.

Excellent hotel just a bus ride away from the capital. Beautiful gardens. Lovely staff. Excellent location. Beautiful beaches very nearby. Fabulous pool. Excellently quiet and relaxing. Super accommodation. Lacking in vegetarian meals if you choose to dine in.

We recently stayed at BH for what was our 3rd visit. We love this place, the friendly relaxed atmosphere, the stunning gardens, the amazing staff and the convenient location of the resort guarantees an amazing time. If you don’t mind walking a bit or taking a local bus or taxi there are many options for food and entertainment. We loved that we could self cater for breakfast and enjoyed our evening meals eating out or at the resort when we chose. The food at the resort was great and the cocktails even better. Service was always amazing from all the staff. Everyone greats you with a genuine smile. It is a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous Grand Anse beach, however we preferred BBC beach though it is a longer walk of about 20 minutes. It is well worth the walk having a better atmosphere and easily accessible beach bars . La Plywood Beach Bar is an amazing place to have a drink and watch the sun set. We love the fact that the grocery store (IGA) is only a 5 minute walk up the road and depending which way you go you can walk on a sidewalk as opposed to walking on the side of the road. Both ways being of a similar distance. The pool area is great and well maintained with very comfortable loungers and usually an oasis of calm relaxation. It is not an overly large space and can fill up easily, however there are more loungers in the garden areas. We never had trouble finding a space. As this is a family resort, there were many times when a couple of very ill mannered pre-teens and their parents put an end to the enjoyment of the pool area. After being soaked by multiple canon ball dives and witnessing some very public, uncomfortable pool side arguments we finally decided it was best to stay clear when the family were at the pool, which was most days unfortunately. Avoiding them did put a bit of a grey cloud over our stay but we felt there wasn’t much we or the resort could do. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, consistent with our previous visits. Though tired around the edges it adds to the charm of the place. We loved sitting on our balcony in the mornings having coffee and watching the ships come into port. As the balcony was fairly enclosed it made a great place to relax, stay dry and enjoy the rain during the short showers the island experiences. We had a flamboyant bush next to our balcony where watching the hummingbirds gave us no end of entertainment. Thank you BH for another amazing holiday. Would we go back? Definitely, can’t wait!

Blue Horizons Garden Resort is a lovely, eco-friendly establishment. It's just far enough away from everything to feel secluded and private but still a close walk to the beach and the grounds are amazing! As vegetarians, we found the dining options to be very limited in the area which was disappointing and challenging. Resort staff were very helpful and gracious, although the restaurant staff bring the concept of "island time" to a whole new level. Overall we were very happy with our stay here and would definitely recommend.

Just completed a weeks stay. Lovely tranquil setting in beautiful gardens. Spacious accommodation with air conditioning. Well equipped kitchen area. Nice pool with comfy sun loungers. Reception staff friendly and nothing too much trouble. We used the restaurant once for dinner. Food was good but slow service.

We prefer ‘room only’ accommodation so that we can eat when and where we choose, and experience the local cuisine and culture. Blue Horizons rooms have a kitchen equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker/oven, pots and pans and a toaster, so it is possible to prepare your own meals if you prefer. It is only a short walk to the supermarket where most food items are available. The gardens are beautifully taken care of and there is an abundance of different trees, plants and shrubs with a variety of flowers, scents and colour. There is a well maintained swimming pool with loungers and an adjacent bar and restaurant. If you prefer the sea and sand, it is close to the famous Grand Anse beach or slightly further away is the BBC beach. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and always greet you with a friendly wave or conversation. Blue Horizons is an eco resort, so they take care to save water and they harness the abundant sunshine through solar panels to provide the hot water for the rooms. Some of the fixtures and fittings are a bit tired and worn but the resort is gradually and constantly upgrading and improving. Nevertheless, this is one of our favourite holiday destinations and we are very likely to return.

Blue Horizons Resort is a beautiful place. The staff is always helpful. It’s well kept and I love it.
