Tower Mill Hotel

What I liked about this place was the rooms were big, and staff were efficient

The Madison tower Mill Hotel is in the CBD opposite the park and has nice views across the city and glimpses of the river. I stayed in the one bedroom apartment. This apartment is the only 1 bedroom apartment in the hotel, otherwise all other apartments are Studio open plan. I recommend booking this one bedroom apartment as it is on level seven, higher up and has more space. The apartment has a modern bathroom and small modern kitchen. The balcony from the lounge and a balcony from the bedroom the onset Parking is $20.

The stay was better than expected for me. What impresses me the most was the - 1. Quality of their housekeeping service, which did a fantastic job daily. 2. The serenity of the surroundings, especially for the rooms with the balcony facing the park & windmill. 3. Proximity to the CBD, even though I would need to climb the little hill to get to the hotel from CBD.

Room was clean, fresh, and the location is great. One thing left a bitter taste though. I arrived in a business jacket and had a lovely chat with the receptionist at check in. Then she asked to verify my ID with a passport or driving licence. I said driving licence, and was told it had to be an Australian one, as they could not accept an international licence. This was clearly assumed based on my accent, even though I have lived in Australia for 26 years and been an Australian citizen for 20 of them. I would normally let this go. But it would have been better if the receptionist waited to see which licence I actually handed over, before jumping to conclusions based on how I sound. Aside from that, a genuinely lovely stay. Just a small moment that took the shine off an otherwise great experience.

the location and facilities are all good. Big room. The only issue is that there is bed bug I think.

Our stay at Madison Tower Mill Hotel was comfortable and convenient. The hotel is located close to the Brisbane CBD, Roma Street Station, and Central Station, making it easy to get around. There is also a City Loop bus stop right next to the hotel, which is very handy. One downside is that the hotel is situated on a hill, so there are quite a few steep walks and stairs when returning to the property. The hotel also provides limited amenities, no toiletries, and no slippers provided, meaning guests need to walk barefoot on the cold floor. The room size was okay but comfortable, with enough space for four people to move around without feeling cramped. Overall, it is a good option for travellers looking for a convenient location close to public transport and the city centre.
