PRIMA Life Spalato

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It wasn’t the cheapest option in the city, that’s why it was such a disappointing experience. The personal was not helpful at all. In our original room the air conditioning was broken and it leaked all over the floor when in use. They apparently knew about it for some time but still gave us this room. The audacity to suggest that it would be our fault because we are using the ac too cold was just a joke. Turn the ac closer to the outside temperature, they suggested. Yes that’s that an ac is for I guess. Not… ridiculous. After complaining several times we got a new room for the second night which was fine regarding the ac. Nonetheless both rooms have one more huge problem: below the hotel there is a club which is audible and disturbing in the night. A good night sleep was hardly possible with the bass and the music blasting.

The hotel is basically located on the 3rd floor of a semi functional mall. The location is great and at walking distance from all major attractions on the beach line of Split. Eateries, bakeries, places to shop are all at walking distance. The location is also a short walk from the major bus station where you can get buses for the airport. The triple room was huge and we'll maintained. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience. The variety and quality of the vanity in the bathroom needs to be improved in my suggestion.

We booked thinking we’d got a bargain, should have known there is no such thing! Weird hotel above a shopping mall but in a great location. Rooms are nice and tidy BUT unless you are planning to party yourself until the early hours of the morning, don’t stay here. There is a nightclub below the building that stays open til between 4 and 6am. At best you can hear the music in every room, at worst if you get a room towards the end of the corridor like we did, you can actually FEEL it vibrating the room as well! When I complained at 2am, the guy on the desk said ‘oh yeah, everyone complains!’ ‘We can’t do anything about it” When you try to speak to someone about a refund, no one calls you back or replies to messages or emails. So basically they know you can’t sleep here but they will happily keep taking your money and do nothing about it

We really enjoyed our stay here. So close to all the action. Modern decor. All comforts provided eg. kettle and fridge. Just 1 comment, the name of the hotel needs to be more clear from the outside of the building.

The pictures of the hotel in ******* are not showing the real situation of the place. It rests in the upper floors of a sort of abandoned section of a commercial building. The elevators, corridors, lights, are all in very bad state, bad looking, stains all over the old worn carpet, dirty walls. After taking an elevator with a button panel patched with silver tapes, scratched glass panels, you see damaged walls, debris all the way to the reception, which is a desk in a hall. The security of the hotel is an issue as the door of rooms can't be locked from inside. The magnetic card that opens the doors also opens the glass sliding door to the street that remains open whenever a guest opens it and the sensors detect someone walking on the street - as there is a discotheque in the same building, the waiting line to enter the disco reaches the street door and it keeps open as there is always someone standing in front. The noise of the disco is another issue as it is loud and it persists along the whole night till 4am. The parking facility offered to me by the hotel was a single-car garage of someone's house 900m away, and they charged 40EUR for 2 days, what is the same you pay to leave the car overnight in the 2 closer Public parking lots in 2 nights. The ******* site says it is a 4-Star Hotel - this is a horrible joke. I am deeply deceived not only by the hotel, but also with ******* for having allowed such a fake place like this to advertise and attract us to this tourist trap.

The sites advertise it as a 4-Star Hotel - this is obviously not overrated – maximum worthy a 1 or 2-star rate. it cannot even be classified as a B&B as there is not breakfast, and they had none to recommend nearby. I have anticipated my checkout in one night and found somewhere else to stay in Split at least to be able to sleep well, and despite they recognize the problems listed above, the hotel manager refused to refund me for this last night and the garage that I did not get to use. They charged the full stay upfront on check in (now I understand why), and then to refuse refund was easier as I had already paid for all nights.

This is not a hotel. It's a bunch of rooms in the 3rd floor above an abandoned mall (if you have a lot of luggage it's hard to get it there) Worse of all - it's above a nightclub and is impossible to sleep till 5am till the nightclub stops the music.
