The location of the hotel is very good, on the main road of the small town. Not too noisy. There is a large parking gallery, and a separate parking space is located at the door of the room, which is convenient for loading and unloading luggage and picking up items at any time. Room facilities are good in the motel category, the room is very hygienic and there is no bad taste. The bed is soft and hard, and the quality of the cotton fabric on the bed and the washing are very good. The bathroom cleaning is not bad. Although the various facilities in the room are not new, they are well maintained and historical. A variety of food around, suitable for self-driving travel. Check in must be based on the payment method confirmed at the time of booking and insist, if there is objection, contact with the domestic customer service, it will be a good solution. Overall, a good stay experience.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable to sleep. It is very close to the sea, and you can see the sea when you open the balcony door. The room has its own refrigerator, microwave, bowls and plates. I bought something to eat and put it directly in the refrigerator. The front desk of the hotel is also very welcoming and will visit again.

Our recent week's holiday at the Mackay Harbour Mantra Hotel is our third stay in 3 years. We just love the quiet location, the great and friendly staff, the amenities (gym and pool) and, of course, the food especially the evening menu. It's nice to be surprised when your plate is put in front of you. We loved the gnocci maranara and also the perfectly cooked salmon and its accompaniment. The queen sized bed was very comfortable with excellent linen and towels. Our room (we always ask for the same one on the 7th floor) has unlimited views of the large Mackay marina with the endless backdrop of the Pacific ocean. Oh, I nearly forgot, the kitchen staff also make great coffee. The only way to start another day in paradise.

Good value for what i paid for. Great location. Room is clean, facilities are up to my expectations. The only thing i might want to change is the lighting. My room was quite dark, make it less cozy, i like the idea of light switch next to the bed side table, very convenient. But my room doesnt have an electric socket next to the bed, so cant really be on my phone while lying down. Other than that, the service was excellent, i only stayed for 2 nights but they make sure to give me room service, which was excellent. Will come back if i need to spend some time in Mackay

Hoteliery ought to be a simple business: provide a clean, quiet, and comfortable room. These are the metrics on which I judge my stay. Sadly, White Lace failed on all counts. The family room initially seemed an attractive proposition, as few other motels offer a separate room for the children, but upon entering it was clear I had made a mistake. Family rooms front the highway, and the roar of traffic was immediately evident and present all night long. This is in fact a missed opportunity, as the french doors to the balcony are an attractive feature, and all that would be required is some double glazing to reduce the noise to an acceptable level. The room itself was terribly tired and run down, with scratch and scuff marks on most surface. The impression was one of shabbiness, of corners cut, and maintenance forgone. The bedhead and side table, built affixed to the wall, appeared to have originally been constructed to fit a king mattress, but was now furnished with a queen, leaving gaps either side. In any case, the mattress was well past its use by date, offering little in padding but plenty in trampoline bounce. Beds in the second room of similar age and comfort. As a minor note, bedside lamps were supplied with incredibly bright cool-white LED bulbs, an unfortunate scourge afflicting many hotel rooms. Given that they are all about the same price, is it really that difficult to take a moment to consider the intended application and purchase a bulb of appropriate wattage and colour temperature? Overall, we did not come away feeling at all rested, which makes White Lace a poor value proposition. Active intervention from management is missing but clearly needed.
