Thank you Moon and staff for another great stay at the Funny Monkeys home stay in Phong Nha Vietnam. The location is perfect for walking around Phong Nha village. The staff are very helpful and prepared good local food. I recommend a stay here when you visit Vietnam

Superb place to stay. Thuỷ was so helpful before we arrived. She arranged a tour, pick up from train and our onward bus tickets. Our room was stunning. 2 big double beds with river view and nice bathroom Banana pancakes for breakfast were our fav and best coffee since we arrived. Food in the evening was also superb and we ate here for 2 of our 3 nights. Run by woman for everyone it’s a very special place. Thanks for having us

Clean, simple, comfortable, really beautiful location right by the river, very friendly staff, really good food and passion fruit juice was delicious. They offer free 🚲 which is very convenient for this town since theres no taxis or grab and free kayaking. Only downside is there's a church right next door that blast music and prayers annoyingly loud at 6:30 am then at 1:00 pm. And the constitution supervisor is on the roof talking on a microphone so loud all day from 7am till 6:00 pm which is really annoying if you're trying to relax. I was going to deduct a star for that but decided not too since it's not the homestay fault. And that church is affecting the entire surrounding.

Best stay ever!! I stayed here solo for 4 days in December 2023 and I could not have been more blown away by Funny Monkeys. Most attentive service I've gotten in 3 weeks backpacking through SEA. Phuong was so helpful and responsive on Whatsapp, even organizing an easy rider for me and ensuring everything was perfect with my stay as far as cleaning/towels go. Also the view from the room is stunning and having a restaurant and café downstairs made everything so convenient. They even provided transportation to the bus stop even though I insisted I don't mind walking! You will never find a better value for your money! Very happy visitor.

It’s right on the river out of town just enough for it to be quiet but a just few minutes walk into town. Food was excellent! Providing bicycles was great as well. Staff and service was impeccable. Booked the day tour to the botanical gardens, Dark and Paradise cave. I usually like to do things on my own but it was great value. I’ll be back to stay here again.

Thuy and Phuong are both simply amazing! They are always smiling, which is one of the main key when you work in hospitality, they are there to support you, anytime. Very friendly aswel, we truly appreciate it! And most important, they speak very well English! Room for 4 was spacious and comfortable, nothing missing. The homestay is peaceful and relaxing, we liked a lot all plats they have, great location right in front of the river. Food was delicious, I would say the best of our whole trip in Vietnam!! Clap hands to the chef 👏🏼. All the staff, only girls, excellent, and very sweet. We loved it! And if we ever come back to Phong Nha, this will be our place, once again. Thank you so much lovely girls, to make us feel like home and spend some time chatting with us. We love you 💗 Allegra, Giulia, Laura and Chiara.

Funny Monkeys Homestay was a paradise in the beautiful town of Phong Nha! We were taken care of from the outset, with Thủy arranging a transfer for us from Dong Hoi to the homestay. We arrived early, had a chat with the wonderful Thủy and had some breakfast on the terrace, looking out onto the amazing natural scenery in the surrounding area. Both myself and my wife agree that the food was the best we've had so far in Vietnam, it was so delicious and fresh. Bonus, there was a very cute dog walking around and falling asleep beside the tables 😊 A few of our food and drink recommendations would be the fresh spring rolls, the rice and vermicelli noodles with fresh vegetables, egg, tofu and peanut sauce, the banana pancakes and the banana and peanut butter smoothie. My wife said she will be dreaming about those noodles with the homemade peanut sauce for months after this trip 😂 Our room was really beautiful, with pink balloons everywhere because we were celebrating our honeymoon! The facilities were really good, great water pressure, everything was spotlessly clean and there was a terrace with a hammock outside our room to chill out and look at the mountains. Thủy had organised a tour for us to Paradise Cave and Dark Cave for us the next day, which we would highly recommend. She took care of everything for us, we just had to be outside at the pick up time! What really set this place apart was the staff. Thủy, Phương and the rest of the team really know how to make people feel at home in their homestay; we were always greeted with a big smile, they were super friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. Just sitting on the terrace and listening to them laughing and talking to each other was really fun, they have great chemistry! We were really sad to leave this place behind, and can confidently say that it's our favourite place in Vietnam. Thank you Thủy, Phương and the team for everything you did for us 😊
