Royal Son Bou Family Club

We had great time at Royal Son Bou. Comfortable rooms, lots of activities for kids all ages and food was nice and plenty of. We particularly enjoyed the beach, which is short walking distance from the hotel, beautiful sand and clear water and so warm. We recommend this hotel to families with kids. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We had a fantastic time with family here for two weeks and really didn’t want to leave: the hotel was gorgeous with all the flowers everywhere, beautiful beach very close. Rooms maybe a little dated but had little kitchens and two bedrooms (obviously we booked this room specifically) which was handy for our larger family. The two restaurants serve the same foods but on slightly different schedules but we mostly ate in our one preferred/nearer our room. Food was great with plenty of options. Special shout out to Fernando who was brilliant and our 1 year old daughter’s first crush 😂! We try not to return to the same place but we definitely want to come back to Royal Son Bou which was so perfect with a young family. (I’m only getting around to this review now, 9 months after our stay as we are holidaying elsewhere that is also supposed to be 5* but is nothing in comparison to Royal Son Bou! )

The noise is unbearable and absolutely ridiculous for a family hotel. The evening entertainment is so loud it feels like someone is playing loud music in your room. It goes on until 10pm which would be ok for adults but this is a family hotel and most families have babies/toddlers/children who want to sleep long before 10pm!! Then the noise starts again at 8am. Great pool, good food, excellent staff, fantastic kid’s entertainment but we will not return because of the noise. Such a shame because if it was quiet from around 8pm we’d have come back and recommended.

We had a fantastic holiday and 10 day stay at the Royal Son Bou Hotel in Menorca. I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel from the facilities to the food, staff and entertainment as well as location and proximity to the beach. Would definitely recommend for families with children of all ages as there is something for everyone!

Had a lovely 8 nights! Couldn’t fault a thing! Food fantastic, hotel clean, staff great and right next to the most beautiful beach. worth every penny, this is going to be a tough one to beat next year!

Great Holiday, lovely 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment over looking the pool (in fact they all over look the poo)l. Very clean. Buffet style restaurant. Entertainment in the evening especially for younger children. We took our 13 year old daughter so the age of the other children was very low. Most families had children aged 0-6. The pool was lovely, lots of sun loungers available. We had a great time.

This was the best experience I ever had!!! The food was incredible. Their are so many fun activities every day!!! The food is soooooo good that they even have two restaurants in the hotel that both are buffets. The staff are so nice. Highly recommended for familys and children.

It’s not often you visit a hotel where the cleaners are happy and smiling, the children’s daycare staff are happy and smiling, the restaurant staff are happy and smiling, the bar staff are happy and smiling, the hotel guests are happy and smiling and most importantly as a family hotel - everyone’s children are happy and smiling!! Even the live chefs in the restaurant were smiling - since when has anyone ever seen a happy chef!? All of this made for a first class experience. Full credit to the hotel management because the staff culture at this hotel must be really good - every staff member takes pride in their work and the high standards of the hotel, which collectively makes a huge difference. Yes the hotel has all of the great children’s facilities that other good children’s hotels have, but for me, the staff here made the difference. I couldn’t believe it when so many staff remembered our children’s names and went out of their way to talk to them, making every child feel really special. The service at dinner and the bar was so fast and professional, and the staff were so nice. We really connected with a waitress called Lucia who was so kind and nice to our children. If I was going to be really really picky, there are only 3 potential improvements I could even conceive for this hotel; i) if it had a spa ii) if the room decor was updated/modernised iii) if the hotel staff took your cases to your room following check-in. My wife and I and our two children (a baby and 3 year old) all had a fantastic family holiday, possibly the best one we’ve had so far as a family unit. We are already planning on returning next year which if you are looking for a family holiday, tells you everything you need to know!

This hotel was perfect for our two young children. Everything is set up for childrens entertainment and you get a lot for your money. We just got back from a week here with a 3 year old and a 10 month old. The hotel is so clean and the staff are all very friendly. A special note has to be made for the staff at Kikoland, Magikland and children's entertainment staff. They work incredibly hard and do an amazing job for the children. The food was very nice and the themed nights were a hit with the kids. It's definitely a no frills style of accommodation but is perfect for family fun!
