Soggiorno fantastico.

The hotel is in a lovely setting, just steps from the beach and the nature reserve. There are plenty of walks around the area and a fairly regular bus service to Alaior and Mahon. The food at the hotel is good but there are plenty of choices if you wanted to eat out. The supermarket is very convenient. All the staff are friendly, helpful and approachable, from the check-in desk, to the restaurant and the cleaning staff. The room was extremely clean and was kept that way throughout our 10 day stay. Our room was on the 9th floor but there were plenty of lifts if you couldn't face the stairs! The customer service during our stay was probably the best we've had on all our travels. It's definitely worth booking a sea view room - - the view is amazing. We'll be back for sure. We loved our stay.

We’re just back from a weeks stay and we’ve had a wonderful week. Myself and my husband came with our two year old son and it was our first family holiday. The hotel is incredibly clean and our room was cleaned, with fresh towels daily. It’s in a perfect location, right on the beach! The pool is a wonderful size and there’s actually two! (One was closed during the time we were there which was a real shame!) However there’s loads of space to sit and relax outside and there’s plenty of sunbeds around the pool too. The pool was always very clean. The food was very tasty, ever so slighty repetitive and sometimes cold but it’s a buffet - so you get what you pay for. There was plenty of variety and always a nice selection of fish / meat (we only saw red meat one afternoon!) A wonderful salad selection and always plenty of fresh fruit - you’ll never go hungry! (Unless you’re ridiculously fussy!) The staff are wonderful. So helpful and friendly (mainly those in the restaurant / bar!) and they always made such a fuss of our two year old (which he loved!) A few negatives, which are worth a mention… Prior to arriving, I had emailed the hotel and requested a lower floor room as we have a two year old. I received an email back confirming this would be sorted yet we were put on floor 10. They have 11 floors. So pretty high up! Did have a lovely view of the sea though. Room very basic, which is finenas it’s just a room to shower and get you’re head down. Would be nice if a kettle was in the room though. Upon arrival & checking in, we weren’t told anything about the hotel, so we’re left to figure out a lot for ourselves - including the dining times so we missed out on lunch as we went straight to unpack. We had to find a cafe to have lunch which isn’t the end of the world, as it was very good however we were all inclusive so had we known the times, we’d have gone straight to lunch and made use of what we can. (and have already paid for!) Although we were all inclusive, we actually had no idea what this entailed (ie drinks / snacks) until four days in. We got breakfast, lunch and tea and had access to the pool bar during the day for drinks. (This bar did have snacks/food but we only saw them one day) We saw a board for ice creams, some had prices next to them and some were blank so we assumed the “blank” ones would be included in the all inclusive. Turns out no ice cream is included within your all inclusive and you have to buy them all. This is a real shame as you can imagine a two year old on holiday wants plenty! We bought some from the supermarket up the road as it was cheaper. We didn’t see any ice cream during meal times in the restaurant either. Six lifts but very, very dated and so, so slow. Be prepared for a ridiculously long wait, especially when you’re up at the top! Overall a wonderful week away and would probably return (only with the child - not as a couple) but more into the season to hopefully get a better experience of what the hotel

Sol Milanos Pinguinos – thank you so much for an amazing holiday! This is amazing, family friendly hotel. A wonderful place, amazing food and great staff!! We had a 7 night stay last summer and have booked already for the next summer for a 10 night stay! My Husband and I, plus our 2 children of 10 & 8 years old were blown away by the level of service, the hotel itself and the wonderful beach right outside of it. I believe the hotel was very close to full capacity but at no time did it feel crowded at the pool, beach or restaurant. All the staff were working extremely hard to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room on the 10th floor had a spectacular see view. The lady that cleaned our room always welcomed us with a smile and did amazing job to keep it tidy. The swimming pool was never too crowded with plenty of sun loungers available. This might be due to a stunning beach right outside of the hotel gate. The food was delicious, and the restaurant staff were very attentive and friendly. The high energy entertainment team needs a special shout out! We all got involved with various activities and stunning dances along with a great song selection that we still listen to and love. We fell in love with this place and can’t wait to be back next summer! Christina Fernandez the General Manager was exceptional throughout our stay and along with all of the fantastic team she has we can thoroughly recommend this as a family destination for your summer holidays. We look forward to seeing you all again in August this year!

Booked this for one week half board with Jet 2 for last week in April. Prior to arrival I requested a higher floor and was allocated floor 6 with mountain view. Not a lot of people in April but there was enough street life to keep me entertained whilst relaxing on the balcony. I thought the room was perfectly acceptable, the heating worked (night) , the bathroom was provided with toiletries and a hairdryer, the bed comfortable. wifi reliable. All staff I encountered were friendly and pleasant. Food ? Breakfast with cooked options and the buffet evening meals were nutritious, varied , tasty and my food was always hot. I enjoyed walking in the area (the return hike to Santo Tomas is lovely - part of Cami Cavalls). The beach is spectacular . Son Bou itself has a small central village and not everything was open prior to the start of the season . Hotel was mainly populated by Spanish seniors and a sprinkling of French families. Apart from one rainy day the weather was delightful (i do not mind wind) and ideal for long walks out. For me personally I do not think I would like the resort in high season - its small and with full occupancy it would impinge on the pre season tranquility and space on the beach. It was a lovely break in a nice hotel on a beautiful coast. No complaints what so ever .

The hotel itself is very dated and the rooms are in desperate need of an update. The staff are amazing and very pleasant, (we did not come across any rude staff) they had great entertainment throughout the day/evening... They know how to get the holiday makers involved. I'm not a fussy eater at all, but, the food was very average. Location is good, long sandy beach with beach restaurants every 50mtrs or so. Supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars literally across the road from the hotel. 25mins from the airport.

Just returned from a lovely week at Son Bou. The hotel is wonderfully clean ( ok the rooms a little dated) but have everything you could need including a hair dryer, fridge, shampoo, soap etc and it’s worth mentioning that the showers were nice and hot with good water pressure, which is something some places can lack! The staff are just exceptional! So friendly, and very helpful and made such an effort with our kids too. The area is amazing.. beautifully long beach ( you can walk for miles!) and a few miles of useful boardwalk just behind the dunes, perfect for evening strolls with our toddler. We’re not the sort of people who like to stay put in one place, we’re explorers…To our surprise, there was some wonderful forest walks with hidden caves and ruins to found nearby. There’s an easy bus service to Mao/Mahon every day to visit the wonderful Port. Definitely worth a visit to break up the beach days. There’s not much to fault at all, our only quibble was the evening food could be a little hit and miss. Lots of fish ( if you’re a fan, although I’m not!) but always something to be found, but some odd combinations. The breakfasts were always fabulous and always plenty of food at the snack bar too, so definitely did not go hungry! We would definitely go back 🙂
