Perfect base to go hiking in Seoroksan National Park - steps away from the main entrance!

Excellent location (I mean EXCELLENT) as it's 5 min away from the entrance of the park. It is easy to get to by bus no 7/7-1 and by taxi. The hotel looks a bit old from the outside but it is tastefully decorated on the inside and they keep very well in line with the English theme. The rooms are clean and spacious, with very nice views. They have a nice space to put things away and a small fridge. Our shower unfortunately wasn't sealed from the shower door so we ended up with water in the whole bathroom (difficult to control with a 6'4 partner). It has in house laundry and a small grocery shop that saved us one day it was raining too much to head back to the restaurant area. Really recommend if you're visiting the park (or Sokcho as it's also 15-20 min away by bus). Very friendly staff.

Really enjoyed my stay at Kensington hotel. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Nearby restaurants closed early, so I had to have hotel dinner (not bad). Hotel is situated near Seoraksan entrance (walking distance). Absolutely stunning view of the mountain! Hotel's concept is intriguing!!

The hotel decorations are very nice; however, the room feels quite old. The room door was difficult to close, and the wardrobe doors were stuck and hard to operate. Additionally, the bathroom floor became flooded with water after use. While the overall atmosphere is pleasant, the room facilities clearly need better maintenance.

Very nice hotel right next to the entrance of the National Park. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are well equipped, however a bit old. Unfortunately the walls are poorly isolated, so you can hear people talk as if they were standing right next to you. Other than that: really nice stay, definitely would come afgain!

Super convenient if you’re planning to hike Seoraksan, just a few minutes walk to the entrance!

Location is amazing if you want to hike in Seoraksan as it’s right at the entrance and saves you from driving and parking or being subject to public transport woes. Hotel is a bit run down, and room service / restaurants have limited food selection but there’s a tiny unmanned convenience store at the lobby and if you drive out a bit there’s quite a lot of food. They do charge for everything including extra bottled water so just keep in mind if you’re wanting anything extra. Would still recommend staying here if you’re wanting to hike the mountain as the views are super good and the location near the park entrance is also fantastic.

Slightly dated hotel but I think that was the vibe they were aiming for. Otherwise relatively clean and comfortable. Best factor is that it is really convenient if you're planning for an early start to hiking in Seoraksan. Only thing that would have really made this hotel 5 stars for me is if there was pick up provided from Sokcho.

I liked: Location very close to the park English memorabilia design Good brkfst buffett I didn't like: Lack of warmth, both physical and human. In April there's no night rstrnt; only short menu for delivery. When there was no hot water in shower, the receptionist came up to turn on the sink tap so hot water would get to the shower )-:

The rooms are renovated ( some of them ) the location is great for the national park. The beds are clean and comfortable. The room size is good .The only thing that we didn't like is the thin walls you can hear everything the person next door says.

It was absolutely wonderful experience! Room is clean and nice, service is great, breakfasts are delicious. I really enjoy hotel design and atmosphere. But the most important part is closeness to national park! It’s really great ❤️

Fantastic location could walk into the national park Breakfast was very good with a choice of Korean or English Use of washing machine was a useful facility as we were touring South Korea by car Sochi was a short distance away and there were numerous seafood restaurants to choose from

Great location right beside the national park. Great service, clean room, and delicious breakfast. Though no pool and sauna.
