What a spectacular place!!! Visited with my friend for a few days. It was her first time in South Africa. Experience left such a beautiful impression of our beautiful country and its people❤️❤️❤️ The place and staff were AMAZING!!! So friendly, helpful, cheerful - always a pleasure to be around. The food and drinks provided were delicious and spectacular. Our room was always clean, made up and fully stocked with drinks and snacks. The game drives were informative and spectacular - phenomenal drivers. Transportation from and to the airport was timely and fantastic! Definitely recommend staying here!!! Special thanks to Victor, Benedict, Reyneke*, Sam, Jane, Hamilton, Imagine, Marita, S’fiso, and the list goes on😁😁😁 My friends and I are already planning our next visit back!!!

Accommodation on the bridge is a unique experience overlooking the Sabie River, but that is about it. Food is very average, staff are not very well trained compared to other luxury lodges we have visited. Game Drives take place on the same roads as the general public, no special routes. Dinning area is not equipped to handle very hot days, i do understand that it is a very hot climate but some fans could help in moving the air around the Dinning area

We had an amazing couple of days here to end out our honeymoon. People were very kind, generous, and knowledgeable. We were glad we had driven a fair amount in kruger, because the game drives were very nearby to the lodge, but we did see a decent amount and the guides were knowledgeable! Definitely worth the money for the food and lodging alone, but to add in such incredible service, well worth it.

Amazing stay at a wonderful hotel. Proper 5 star luxury from start to finish. We stayed in a carriage room on the train for 2 nights and loved it so much we extended our stay for a third night! We decided to try a garden room for the third night which was also great (although nothing can match the train rooms & the unbelievable view). It was amazing spending time at the pool hippo spotting and seeing elephants crossing the river! The staff are also amazing , so friendly & helpful. We had two waitresses for our stay, Penny & Venolia , who were lovely and made our stay really memorable. Our Safari guide was also great and very knowledgable. Food is exceptional!!! A varied menu which changes each day. We already want to go back here!

Kruger Shalati is one of the best experiences my husband and I have had the pleasure of enjoying! The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exceptional... the concept of the train on the bridge, the decor and design and attention to detail inside the train carriage was phenomenal... not to mention the magnificent views!!! The food and dining experience was absolutely superb! The game drives were fun and informative... our guide had a wonderful knowledge of the animals and the bush! We honestly had the most magnificent time!! Thank you Kruger Shalati, you are doing everything right!

The property itself is beautiful, the train suspended on the bridge is very nicely done. The main problem resides with the safaris, for over $500USD a night I have high expectations for the quality of guides. The hotel used a contract guide that could barely speak english, and had limited to know knowledge of the park or the wild life. Moreover he was a reckless driver who nearly crashed into a tree, and injured the knee of a fellow passenger with a sudden braking for no good reason. I first reported this situation to the front desk during my stay, they ignored it. The lodge managers were away for a couple days, and they didn't leave anyone to oversee the lodge. On the last day, some fellow guests and myself finally got to speak to the managers, and they more/less shrugged their shoulders at the situation and said they wouldn't use the guide again. Great - that really helps us who already spent thousands of dollars to stay here. Nothing else was offered, and they ran off as fast as they could from our table in the dining room. There were other misc service issues, like the mini bars in the rooms not being refreshed properly but it pales in comparison to the other incompetence at this property. Overall, I would say save your money and avoid this place at all costs. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

We went to Kruger National Park for our very first safari. We had seen pictures of this hotel on the web and it looked amazing, but it looked even better in real life. The rooms were beautifully appointed and there was a view of the grounds where you could see a variety of animals. There was a crocodile sunning on a rock just under our window. The staff was very nice and helpful and we even got a couple of private safaris - just me and my husband. I can't recommend this place enough. We also bought a beautiful blanket - the ones they used on the beds and they had it delivered to our home in California.. We love the blanket. The food was good and they always remembered that I preferred the vegetarian menu. The staff always remembered our names and they always greeted us with a smile.

Exceptional experience. We were treated like celebrities. Special romantic dinner setting with bubbly and candles. rose petals and a chocolate cake awaited us when we got back to our room. Staff and service were exemplatary.
