The one-story hotel built with prefabricated houses is far from what was expected, especially the attitude of the hotel service staff is extremely bad.

The staff were nice, but I ate something bad at the restaurant and was puking all night. Avoid the restaurant, which was also pricy.

Convenient location for exploring the South Coast. Very clean, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and as described in advertisement. One desk clerk had a bit of an attitude but maybe it was just an off day for her. Wake up call offered for Northern Lights! Dinner was OK. Breakfast Buffet was good!

Location great for activities in Skaftfell area. Cosy and comfortable room. Northern lights alert was brilliant & much appreciated. Breakfast very good.

Is the only hotel in that zone, and it costs as a 5 star hotel, but is a 20th Century hostel with ancient rooms. Is better to stay in Hofn or Vik.

The hotel was just ordinary. As lot of other reviewers mentioned, the only advantage of this hotel is its location. Its just 20mins walk away from one of the tails of Vatnajokull glacier - Svínafellsjökull Glacier.
Apart from location, this hotel is more like a motel which is in dire need of renovation. Rooms are small and old and beds are very low height. There are generally no views from the room and the radiator is not effective enough. Staff were just ok.

The staff are very nice and welcoming, the house is a bit old, but very comfortable, a very good hotel.
