This is a lovely hotel and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The whole ambience is very laid back and chilled with attentive but not over bearing staff. We had a room with a private pool which was great, the rooms are large, our aircon was the most efficient and quiet unit I’ve ever had abroad. The rooms are well equipped, fridge, espresso machine, tea making facility, TV and large bathroom with walk in shower, very clean and done every day with robes, room towels and beach towels changed daily or on request. The location was very quiet other than the church bells on Sunday morning which is quite the wake up. Sissi itself is quite small, everywhere within walking distance and nice souvenir shops, tavernas and plenty of car, bike and quad bike hire options. There are plenty of sun beds round the main pool area with pergolas as well, the whole place is immaculately kept.

The hotel premises, room and location are fantastic.. no complaints. Accept for the nearest supermarket they have a group of workers that follow everyone around incase you steal. It makes you feel very uncomfortable. We were told about this by other holiday makers. Go to the other supermarket a bit further up they are lovely. A few things happened at the hotel that made it not as enjoyable. We were half board and told the first night if we missed breakfast we could get a lunch box as a substitute. Just to let reception know the night before. We did this the second night and I was told I got this wrong or misunderstood but from reading the review before me this is clearly not the case. So we missed out on this several times over our 10 night stay. Annoying because we never made breakfast because my mum has heath issues so we could never make it but half board was the only option when we booked. Dinner is either inside or outside on the terrace. One night we were taken to an inside table right in front of all the food with hot lights and next to the station where they scraped dirty dishes. I asked if we could sit outside because I could see a table free. I was abruptly told no there are no tables outside that’s why I sat you here! For the duration of our dinner the outside table sat free the whole time, even as we left. It was in clear view. We felt like we were in a school canteen and the teacher wouldn’t let us move, just odd behaviour The next night we went and sat on the terrace because they had entertainment and the same girl that sat us at dinner didn’t come to our table once, we saw her go to nearly every other table and completely bypass us! She wouldn’t even look in our direction. I actually had to ask if it was table service for drinks. It was! It was just strange behaviour that left a bad taste. It felt personal at that point. Obviously it might not have been but when little things happen like that it just puts you off. We also went to eat something at the snack bar at nearly 5pm one day to be told they were closed for food, however it states on the welcoming letter drinks and snack bar open till 6.pm. So we had to change plans. The maid service was also hit and miss, you are given paper cups in the rooms and these were hardly ever replaced, we had to go and find her and ask. We also had to ask for certain toiletries and coffee to be re stocked. We had to ask for our outside terrace floor to be cleaned as we had been there for at least 5 days at that point and a drain pipe that ran down the wall had leaked dirty water so a brown stain was outside for days. We saw her sweeping and mopping outside other rooms so again we were were like What the hell at this point. I understand the maids work hard and probably have a time limit, I work in a hotel so I understand but when you have guests staying for 10 nights things should be replaced more frequently we just felt annoying having to ask her we shouldn’t have to.
