Hotel Fonte Boiola

The location is fantastic, less than 50 meters from the entrance to the old town of Sirmione. The pool and the view on to the lake are excellent. It has parking which is great, it is almost imposible to find same because of the popularity of the town.

I was positively surprised by this hotel. Staff is really friendly and helpful, the SPA and the thermal pool are really nice, breakfast was very good, the rooms and the common areas are super clean, the location directly on the lake side is beautiful, the position is excellent to have a walk in the ZTL zone in Sirmione, parking is for free (maybe a bit crowded, but not too bad in March). I definitely would recommend it!

Excellent service, friendly staff. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed, the surroundings and views onto Lake Garda were breath taking. We cherished every moment of our stay, which was too short!! We will definitely be back again :)

The hotel is in a prime location and provided more of a 'four star' experience than the other officially 'four star' hotels on our trip.

We love to stay in the hotel for a short visit ! The personal are very helpful with an excellent attitude ! It is very comfortable for visit the area. We enjoy the installations and the dinners in the garden ! Thank you ! We‘ll come back !

Very bad experience. It was a very hot day in May and my room was 26 degrees and they had not turned on the AC yet. I was directed to keep windows open but that let in hundreds of insects. They took 10% off my bill but I didn't sleep at all! The pool was lovely though

Booked through a holiday company for a week Hotel is in a beautiful location with a lake view and direct sunshine in the early part of the day onto the terrace. We were informed that the staff could speak English and although one or two at the reception did, I cannot state if the other staff were just unwilling or unable to. Some staff were curt and offhanded which can be perceived as an Italian trait but some were just down-right rude. On ordering from there set snack menu we were met with tuts and sighs! The rooms we had booked were described by the holiday company "as with a nice view" which granted can be subjective. Although newly decorated, clean and functional my room was located at the end of the corridor overlooking the carpark, so the lack of a balcony was not an issue. The room was along side a metal fire escape that was regularly used and sounded like an oil drum being beaten. I was also unfortunate that the carpark was being resurfaced and work started each morning just after 6am. Our other room had a fly infested balcony, also over car park and although all the other balconies seemed to have chairs ours didn't. There "seemed" to be an AC unit in each room however signage was non-existent. One room remained above 26.5oc all of our stay although we asked on several occasions for help to use the AC and being informed "it would be looked at". There was no information booklet on the facilities in the hotel in room or “do not disturb” door signs. Fire signage was on the back of the door. Breakfast was continental and everything provided was fresh and as you’d expect. For an additional fee there were some cooked breakfast options. Our only complaint would be the sulphuric smell of rotten eggs that meets you every morning as you come down the stairs would put you off eating. It is from the spa area of the hotel and stomach churning. For a one night stay this is a great location but not a long stay location.
