Check in time was 1500 and I arrive at 1415 . The queue was long at Sofitel Sentosa and it could be better if the queuing area is air conditioned . Only a small portion of around 3-4 people is in the air con area . Air ventilation should be provided for the one queuing outside . By the time it reaches me at the counter it was 1530hr . There were only 2 counter serving . The receptionist lady was very professional and told me that based on my connecting room , only 1 room will be ready shortly . And what happen was I am there going to celebrate my Fur baby 2nd birthday . My Fur baby 1st year birthday was celebrated here at Sofitel Sentosa too . Last year was amazing but this year was a total disappointment on the waiting time to check in Then waiting at the non air conditioned area , I finally got my KEYS 2 HOURS LATER including the QUEUE it’s was 3.5 HOURS !!!! I manage to get into the room only at 1745 hr . Been a frequent traveller and never in my life it’s the FIRST TIME waiting for SO LONG !!! Sofitel Sentosa needs to work on their Housekeeping which I believe it’s UNDERSTAFFS and spoil the entire experience . We CANCEL our swimming plans , check in to the room and head for Buffet dinner straight at KUI ZEEN . Receptionist Lady understand I was waiting very long and offer dining credits for my stay which I appreciate it . Also I order and paid SGD$140 for my pet which I am ok with it but when I got into the room , there was no pet bed inside with the goodie bag and it arrives only at 1800hr despite 3 calls to the reception as we were rushing to the buffet dinner Wasn’t exactly a good experience and am totally disappointed with the entire stay . Not even to say we can’t even request for late checkout based on the 3 hours lateness while paying the FULL PRICE !!! Like to see what Trip.Com can compensate a loyal customers and also Sofitel Sentosa for any further compensation for this experience for the family who have plan a long time and excited for this

Highly recommend. Opened right before Covid. Only 40 rooms. It is a boutique hotel. It has past history and old world charm. Peacock walking around the pool What a jewl ! First floor rooms step out directly to swimming pool. On the second floor, some has room stairs go directly to swimming pool as well. The service is so good. Worth coming back.

Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa

We loved Amara sanctuary resort! Super convenient location in Sentosa next to Universal, which was our main reason for staying here. Just a bit of a walk to cross the road in front of the hotel to take the bus to Universal. Pool area was not well maintained, seemed a bit neglected as the deck floorboards were coming up and a little dangerous for kids. We have a 2 yr toddler who loves swimming, so it was less than ideal. They apparently were still renovating their kids’ pool so we only had access to the one old rickety pool at the top floor of the hotel. Other than that, five stars for the hotel service, breakfast and general ambience! Spacious enough for Singapore as well.

Took a grab from airport to hotel, there was confusion on the hotel entrance with the Village hotel entrance. You need to take lift to level 3 for the check in. The process was flawless with warm greetings from the staff. Upon check in you are entittled to select 5 goodies (snacks). The room was quite okay but do take note that the swimming pool at level 3 sharing with other hotel. For more privacy you can go to level 7 (however if there is event the pool will be close earlier and you need to use the level 3 swimming pool). Did not have the time to survey other facilities. Hotel located about 3mins walking distance to Beach train station and there is a nearby 7 eleven nextdoor. Overall, i enjoy my stay there.

Did a staycation with my parents in Dec, celebrating both mine and my dad’s birthday. We had the “family” room which was actually 2 connecting rooms - and it was perfect! Size of room was perfect for a short stay. All shower and vanity amenities were provided. The coffee and tea bags/sugar and utensils (environmentally friendly) were located outside the room but that’s ok. Breakfast buffet had a lovely mix of western and Asian cuisine so my parents could enjoy it too. The pools were huge and we loved swimming laps in the main one. Special shoutout to Shafiq for great communication proper to my stay, and to Vero for a pleasant check-in process. Overall a hotel that holds high standards in regard to their service, and in a great location too!
