Resorts World Sentosa - Equarius Villas

An exceptional stay! My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the ambiance and service. The hotel's 24-hour butler service was incredibly reassuring; they'd arrange private transfers anywhere on Sentosa, pretty much whenever we wanted. You can't beat the feeling of having walked all day at Sentosa or Universal Studios, then being chauffeured right to your room door the moment you leave the park. Our butler was incredibly responsive, often replying within seconds, and offered fantastic travel advice. The room itself was full of delightful surprises, like special daily dessert treats placed by the bed, a complimentary minibar stocked with a wide variety of drinks and snacks, and even – get this – staff who would help pick up our takeout, no matter how late! Every single staff member had an excellent service attitude (apart from a slightly slow check-in process at the front desk). And the environment? Absolutely stunning. Highly, highly recommend!

Equarius Villas, a premium villa type within Equarius Hotel, is located right below the main hotel building on Sentosa Island, part of Resorts World Sentosa. I stayed here for five days during the first leg of my Singapore trip, and although it was pricey, it was absolutely worth it. The minibar offers unlimited drinks, replenished as soon as anything runs out. Given the cost of living in Singapore, this alone saved us hundreds on water bills. Every evening, there were also complimentary snacks – I enjoyed Guilinggao (herbal jelly), chocolates, nut assortments, and cookies, all local well-known brands that make great souvenirs. The rooms are incredibly spacious, split over two levels. Upstairs, the balcony features an outdoor pool, a sofa bed, and a private bathroom. Downstairs, there's a king-sized bed, a hidden bathtub, and a massive underwater window where you can see the fish from the adjacent aquarium – it's truly magical. The room type includes butler service, available on WeChat for any request. Electric buggies transport you anywhere you want to go, such as the lobby, bus stops, or shopping malls, and they even help plan your itinerary. All the staff speak Chinese; I met fellow countrymen from Hunan and Sichuan, as well as ********* compatriots, Malaysian Chinese (like Berry Tan), and even a chubby young man who looked like he was from India or Pakistan. They were all very friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. I want to express my gratitude again to all the butler friends who served me! For breakfast, there are two options. One is at a semi-buffet located opposite the hotel lobby, offering local breakfast items, masala, healthy options, European fare, and an eat-all-you-can selection of bread, fruits, and salads. The advantages are a superb environment, fewer people, and peace and quiet. The drawback is a relatively smaller variety compared to a full buffet. The other option is a full buffet at the Festive Hotel. The advantage is the wide variety, but it comes with many downsides. All guests from Sentosa hotels dine at this one full-buffet restaurant, leading to huge queues, so you have to go early. Overall, while the hotel is expensive, the ambiance, food quality, sea views, butler service, minibar, electric buggy service, and other amenities completely justify the price. If I come back to Singapore, I'll definitely stay here again. Oh, and most importantly, being on Sentosa Island means everything is at your fingertips – VivoCity, various attractions. So, if you're traveling with kids and plan to visit Universal Studios, the S.E.A. Aquarium, do some shopping, or explore Harry Potter-themed areas, staying on the island is a must.

Revisiting this hotel after eight years, my heart is filled with emotion. Eight years ago, I stayed in the Ocean Suite with my young daughter. The novel and dreamlike experience is still vivid in my memory, becoming a cherished part of her childhood. Time has flown by, and now I'm back, this time with my young son, staying in the same underwater room to relive those beautiful memories. The room offers an incredible view, with a huge window directly overlooking the underwater world. You can immerse yourself in a magical underwater realm without even leaving the room. All sorts of colorful tropical fish swim freely, looking lively and adorable. Occasionally, sea turtles and manta rays gracefully glide by. Schools of fish constantly move back and forth, and there's even the rare hammerhead shark – truly an immersive experience!

The room wasn't huge, but we came for the views and they definitely delivered! It was such a unique and delightful experience to see all sorts of animals swimming right outside our window. Ordering room service was super convenient, so you could easily stay in the room all day, or if you wanted to go out, a buggy would come pick you up.

It's super convenient for visiting the aquarium and Universal Studios, and the service was excellent.
