New Cape Inn (Staycation Approved)

Booked a room with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. Can fit 4 of us (3 adults + 1 child). Overall was okay for this reasonable price. Room is clean and not too small for the 4 of us. No iron provided in the room but can be requested. There’s a restaurant beside the hotel and quite a number of restaurants nearby. Near to the bus station which is great.

Not bad for the price, liked that there are plenty of food options just downstairs and a short walk away. Cleanliness is good too, no weird smells in linen.

My experience with new cape inn hotel was awesome, the staff was awesome, and polite, great service, will return again.

Location with many eatries and transportation also convenience. Hotel facilities okay except abit old and staff not really that friendly. Overall found okay for a short stay.

Lobby and corridors reeks of cigarette smoke. Aircon is central and will pull in all the cigarette smoke from the side walk of the hotel where workers will take their smoke breaks. Room is also badly affected. Hotel has strict non snoking policy, butbyou are bresthing 2nd and 3rd smoke actively. We had to open the windows. Read that this Hotel was quote recently taken over and renovated. Most likely of rushed work, paint job not done properly with patches and furniture have many little droplets. Carpet is old and has a smell. Toilet fittings are loose and installations are poorly fixed. (contractors are bad basically, and no QC by hotel). Furniture and fridge has a lot lf cigarette burnt marks! Space is adequate, bigger than usual hotel rooms in singapore. Staff were polite over the phone. I wished they were as friendly in person, at least greet u when u enter. It is extremely awkward to enter, and have 2 pairs of eyes just looking at you, until u enter the lift. When u look at them and smile, they just continue to look at you. Unless, u walk up and then, they will ask how can they help you. Creepy. Good location in public housing estate. Good connection to chinatown and downtown area. Buses connection are good. Close to many eateries. Food option is a plus.
