METT Singapore

Great location, right inside Fort Canning Park, so it's very quiet. The front desk staff speak Chinese and are very friendly. Many people hold parties in the restaurant. The only downside is that the showerhead in the bathroom is a bit old and doesn't work very well.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! I booked it during Trip.com's 318 Spring Sale. The only minor issue was that when rooms became available, it seemed like they were sold out every other day, which made me wonder if the hotel was doing it on purpose. I ended up having to book an extra night in a standard room through another platform. Thankfully, the hotel was generous enough to let me stay in the same room without having to move. Aside from that, it was almost perfect. First off, the price was reasonable. In Singapore, where hotels typically cost around S$2,000, finding a place for just over S$1,000 that also offered beautiful surroundings, new facilities, a spacious room, four complimentary bottled water bottles, a toiletries kit, and slippers was truly exceptional. We didn't try the breakfast, though I imagine it's good; the additional cost seemed a bit high, and we couldn't wake up early enough anyway, so we just grabbed a quick bite and headed out to explore. Getting a taxi was a bit circuitous since it's located on a hill, and walking up was a bit tiring. However, the environment truly is beautiful. The famous '网红树洞' (internet-famous tree cave) had a long queue every morning. Once we got familiar with the layout, we found it quite convenient to walk around the area. The front desk staff, both the English-speaking gentleman and the Chinese-speaking lady, were incredibly friendly. Our first two days in Singapore were very comfortable thanks to this experience!

I booked two rooms. When we arrived and got out of the car, there was no one to help with our luggage. We went to the lobby to check in and got the keys for both rooms. To my surprise, one of the bathrooms hadn't even been cleaned. We then had to wait for a room change. The hotel's surroundings, located within Fort Canning Park, are undeniably beautiful, and the rooms themselves are lovely. However, the service was truly worse than a three-star hotel. I'm not sure if it's due to understaffing or inadequate training. To make matters worse, the next day I found the towel on the floor covered in ants 🫠🫠🫠

The hotel is located within a park, and our room with a private courtyard was very elegant. However, we checked in quite late, so we didn't get to use many of the facilities or explore the grounds, which was a real shame. Definitely next time! I hope to see Jason and the handsome front desk staff again then. 😋

The hotel's setting is incredibly comfortable, right inside a park. It's perfect for a morning run or swim. Plus, a short walk takes you to a local breakfast spot with some really unique dishes! 🥣

The hotel's location is excellent, right in Fort Canning Park. Stepping out is like being in a natural oxygen bar. The hotel service is fantastic. We were here for a Disney cruise and stayed a night at this new hotel before boarding. We arrived early on a morning flight, and even though it was quite early, they allowed us to check in, which meant the kids could catch up on some much-needed sleep. Plus, with two kids, the sofa bed in the suite was incredibly practical; everyone got a good night's rest. That very evening, we decided to book another two nights here for when the cruise returned, canceling our reservation at another hotel we had stayed at before. The staff are very friendly and always chat with us when we pass by. We're heading back to stay again tomorrow and are excited to explore more of the surrounding area.

We checked in on June 13th at 3 PM. There was a cocktail event happening that day, and the hotel was fully booked, so they upgraded us to a suite with a walk-in closet. Unfortunately, the room was directly above the event venue, and the event was scheduled to run until 11 PM. We were informed of this during check-in, but it would have been much better if they had notified us via email beforehand. The sound system was incredibly powerful, and we almost considered switching hotels on the spot. Of course, at our request, they moved us back to our original reserved room the next day, and the noise was significantly reduced. They also offered us breakfast as compensation. For a hotel that was just renovated last year, the humidity issue hasn't been resolved. The moldy corners in the shower were quite noticeable, giving an impression of subpar hygiene, even though the tables were impeccably clean. The front desk and doorman staff were all very approachable and helpful with luggage and directions, as were the restaurant staff. Everything was up to standard.
