This is the worst hotel experience we have ever booked on Trip.com in many years. We are very disappointed.
We chose this hotel because it was newly opened for three months and we liked the room layout style shown in the photos. However, after arriving and checking in, we found that the hotel provided many inadequate or even substandard services.
First of all, the hotel front desk is often unattended and vacant most of the time at night, and there is no desk phone in the hotel room to contact the staff.
In addition, the front desk staff said that there is only housekeeping service every 4 days. We asked twice whether the room with a five-day stay could be provided with cleaning service on the 3rd day. We were treated as air and were very disrespected.
The housekeeping service was provided at noon on the 4th day. When we returned to the room, we found that the so-called cleaning was just to help us straighten the bed sheets and change the garbage bags. As for the bottled water, coffee bags and toilet paper in the room, they were not added. We inquired with the front desk staff and got the answer that we would only get one roll of toilet paper from the hotel during the 5-day stay, and no matter how long the stay was, we would not get an additional roll. The hotel did not provide any facial tissue and only one roll of toilet paper. It is hard to imagine that this is the normal service level of a Singapore hotel.
The water pressure of the faucet in the room was also very strange. As long as it was slightly turned, the faucet would make a loud noise, and the water flow was intermittent.
The ceiling of the room had cracks and signs of peeling, and the chandelier in the living room of the room flickered from time to time. The decoration of these newly opened hotels was confusing.
At around 9 o'clock in the evening on the third night of our stay, the hotel fire alarm sounded, but it ended after about a minute. We felt a little scared because we had no idea whether it was a false alarm or a real fire alarm. There was no notification from the hotel staff and no explanation on the radio.
The most uncomfortable thing for us during the five-day stay was the construction noise problem. Before checking in, we received an AI message from the hotel saying that there was a construction site nearby that was underway from 7am to 7pm. We still thought it was acceptable, after all, it was during our daytime outings and stopped before bedtime, so we just had to put up with it. However, after checking in, we found that the real source of construction noise was not the construction site across the street from the hotel, but the college building and shopping mall connected to the hotel, which was located right downstairs from our room. The demolition of these shops started at 11pm every night and ended at 2am. They were thinking about the night school students at the college, but not the guests living in the hotel rooms upstairs. The hotel staff didn't mention these most disturbing noise problems late at night, and we didn't feel them until we checked in and slept until midnight on our first night. I sincerely advise everyone to think carefully before staying in this hotel, as the hotel staff concealed the truth and the noise was non-stop from morning to night.
We slept badly every night, and then at 7:00 am on the last day of our stay, the hotel's fire alarm went off again, and then the central broadcasting system of the entire hotel went off, several times louder than the fire alarm, announcing in English that we were sorry for the inconvenience caused by the false alarm. Alas, this hotel has something uncomfortable for us every day, and I really regret choosing this hotel.
