Edition Hotels in Singapore

Our city view room looked directly onto residential buildings which were very close, forcing us to keep the curtains drawn all day for privacy. The first room we were given had a strong musty smell upon opening the door, and the sheets were damp. After we complained, the front desk moved us to a room at the very end of the hallway, far from the elevators. However, the water pressure in that room was also insufficient, and the shower temperature was very unstable. Feeling very unhappy that night, we contacted Ctrip. Thanks to their very helpful staff, we were finally moved to a room slightly closer to the elevators the next day. Although it was on a lower floor, it was at least manageable. Throughout this whole process, no hotel front desk staff offered any apology. Only the luggage handler kindly apologized for the inconvenience. The hotel only provided one toothbrush as a children's amenity, and all items in the mini-bar were chargeable. The hotel is located in a small alley off Orchard Road. The surrounding environment is quite ordinary, and it's not close to any attractions other than the shopping malls on Orchard Road. The only highlight was the large bed, and that's it. The service was far inferior to the Shangri-La and Barracks Hotel we stayed at in Sentosa, and the location wasn't as convenient as the Marina Bay hotels we'd stayed at previously. To make matters worse, I had booked three consecutive nights. Booking this hotel was the biggest mistake of this trip, and it was a hotel my entire family was unhappy with. In summary, the facilities and location are mediocre, and the service is very poor.
