We stayed at the Hilton Labriz with 5yo and 11yo daugthers. Kids club was more apropriate for the little one, as there wasn't much going on for older children. I summarised my top 3 pros and cons below: Pros 1. Nice rooms, we had the beach front villa with a great pool. Amazing housee keeping by Gaurav, he was very helpful. 2. Scuba diving around the island was better than expected, we saw tourtles, douphins, reef sharks and plenty of fish. 3. Island is unspoiled and very beautiful Cons 1. Price for the transfer and drinks is incredibly high. Transfers twice a day is very limited - we had take a 8.30am boat transfer even though our flight is only at 5pm. Check if you are ok with prices and time of transfers before you book flights and this hotel. 2. The beach is very shallow, making it difficult to swim. The water is beutiful and warm though. There is no pier to enable snorkling on the outter reef, where most of sealife is... this is a real shame in my opinion. 3. Although there was a good variety of food buffet restaurant, food normally lacked flavour.

Excellent family experience. We were in a beach front villa 232 and the proximity to the Durban restaurant, pool a s beach were excellent. The kids club was just excellent. At the beginning of the week our children were a bit reluctant to join in without us but by the end they had made friends. Hazel in particular in the kids club made it for us taking us on a family hike to see the island. The trial dive in the pool for the kids was another highlight. I felt like I had to settle in to the relaxedness of this holiday as we don’t normally do beach holidays like this and at the beginning of the 7 nights I felt a little trapped as you are 45 mins by boat from the main island and the organised trips are an absolute rip off. A day long boat trip for a family with others on the boat c. £1k+!!!! It’s a shame that La Belle Tortue no longer allow non residents on their trips as snorkelling for €200 for a family for 2 hours seems much more reasonable. Although the bikes are badly maintained we loved being able to get bikes in the morning to cycle around. Our kids loved the freedom and safety. This is a very family orientated place - not sure how I would have felt if we had gone for a couples romantic break - it isn’t that but that suited us. We saw a number of families with tiny new born babies but keep in mind you are on a remote island with a small medical centre. I guess they would arrange a helicopter if there was a major problem but it’s worth thinking through how comfortable you would feel about that. Couple of top tips; Have half board at a minimum - the food is very good and there is no where else to eat other than the hotels restaurants Dress kids in swim suits with arms - to avoid getting burnt and bring pool toys with you Food and drinks off plan are vvvv expensive including icecreams Get your taxi driver on your transfer to stop at a supermarket. Stock up there is absolutely no where to buy on the island other than restaurants and the mini bar (half bottle of vodka over £100+) Take absolutely everything you need including all medicines. We were bitten quite badly and would have loved some antihistamines I worried a lot about the weather forecast but we only had rain during the night The sea crossing was very rough on our way out. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful with sick bags etc but sit at the back of the boat downstairs as it’s cooler and less rough or sit upstairs outside where you can see the horizon. Pack sea sickness tablets

The Hilton Labriz is located along one side of Silhouette Island, consisting of the jetty at one end, and ending with the spa at the other end. We needed a buggy to get anywhere as we weren’t fit enough to use the bicycles- there was a bit of hanging about waiting for the buggies - so a big recommendation would be to request a beach front villa nearer the restaurant as then the rest of the facilities are within walking distance. We cannot comment on the swimming as the water was very rough by our room and our friends who did swim further down said there was quite a current - so a bit disappointing- the pool was rather busy with families. The beach at low tide was gorgeous so lovely walks - there was a fun beach bar for drinks and snack lunches. choice of restaurants, Japanese, Chinese and Italian, as well as the buffet - the best in our opinion was the Chinese - the Italian was very disappointing unfortunately. We loved the breakfasts. Although we probably wouldn’t go back, the staff were all delightful and there was probably more to do than we found….the wrong hotel for me, being post knee op…so if you’re fit and energetic I’m sure the Hilton would offer more…..

This resort is truly a paradise cocooned in the pristine blue waters of Seychelles. We stayed there for our honeymoon in December and needless to say this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in! The staff has been extremely helpful and responsive ever since we booked the place and made sure our honeymoon was memorable. The trip to the hotel is through a ferry which takes less than an hour and is an experience in itself. The waterfront pool villas will surely transport to a reality from which it will be hard to come back to your regular life. The villa opens to the beach and you can see some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets all while walking on the smooth sand with no signs of habitation for miles and miles. The villas come with bicycles that can be used to tour the resort and come in handy while visiting the 4-5 restaurants they have on site each specializing in a different cuisine. We also booked ourselves a private dinner in our villa and the food was simply delicious. We will most definitely be back to this paradise on earth.

A stunning and imaginative hotel on Silhouette Island, some 40' by ferry from the main island of Mahé, consisting of a long line of comfortable villas parallel with the shore and a very fine beach - swimming off the latter is somewhat constrained by the tide and the proximity of an offshore reef. The staff are lovely - smiley and always willing to help. The cheaper King Garden Villas are comfortable enough [although the stone floors are a little austere] but the garden view is somewhat restricted before you're confronted with the unattractive back aspect of the next row of villas between you and the seafront. However, the reason this review has 3 stars rather than 5 is because of the, in my opinion, outrageous and exorbitant cost of the ferry to get to the island [€225 return or €450/£385 for a couple] and the cost of drinks. As far as the latter is concerned and as an example, the cheapest bottle of red vin ordinaire is some €70/£60 and two bottles of tonic on room service were €16.38/£14 - of course this is a 4-5 star hotel on an island where most things are imported and one is not expecting cheap drinks, but this is serious over-charging I believe. The cost of the ferry is available on the website but is not immediately obvious when making the reservation - I was astounded when I found out the price and frankly very disappointed that Hilton Labriz should charge its guests such a ridiculous sum for the unavoidable necessity of getting to their hotel. All in all, a shame really that the hotel should let itself down on the points I mention - I would certainly think twice about going again or in recommending it to others as a result.

We had a very shaky start at Labriz. I won't list all the issues but we called our travel agent to move the next day if possible. We've been very privileged to stay in some amazing places over our lives and great customer service starts, not just in the culture of the hotel but also the behaviour, values and passions of the team . This includes listening and pivoting when things go wrong and that's exactly what the Labriz management did. No excuses. No defensive manoeuvres . What we got instead was "let's make it right. We weren't on our game". Now that is different. We were skeptical at first I must admit. Amanda (area manager we think ?!) was a real hospitality pro and took the whole thing on. She offered us a beach candlelit dinner and an upgrade on our food . Frankly we didn't need it - how she listened and made us feel appreciated was enough but it all helped to ease the strain and from there the holiday was incredible. Labriz has jaw dropping scenery. The food is incredible, families are looked after but so are couples for intimacy etc. We had a deluxe pool beach villa which was a joy to wake up in and close to one of the most beautiful beaches. Overall we have fab memories of labriz . The initial hiccups were forgotten about and all we think about now are the great people and the service. Just book it ! It's a dream location and makes memories . Big shout out to Fabio at 4 Degrees : Hilton should bottle his positivity and passion . A gem of a guy ! Emily and Kristin looked after us daily to keep checking in that we were fine. Amazing ladies . The entire team at the Kids club were fantastic. Overall huge thank you to the management and the entire team - you made it special .

Complementary upgrade. Excellent staff who go out of their way to assist with genuine enthusiasm. Food selection very impressive..even for vegetarians. Sections of the island almost surreal in terms of sheer beauty . HILTON Silhoutte Very highly recommended

Very appreciative of the warmth and care extended by all staff to myself and my family. There are too many names and faces to mention and we will always remember you guys for the genuine concern shown. The resort is a beautiful paradise. The food was amazing even for my fussy vegetarian gut. I was spoilt for choice. My little one enjoyed incredible freedom and didn't get to do everything because we ran out of time. The seas and shore and the cleanest I have ever seen and the waves crashing or lightly moving, can be heard throughout the resort. We have missed going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the sea and wild life. Thank you somuch for allowing us an unforgettable experience. May the staff at the resort be blessed with equal kindness, care and spoils that they so effortlessly give to all guests.
