We got there early for a farmer's day special or a little over three and checked in, then went to the hot tub and relaxed and talked to other guests we met. the rooms are big and clean and the bed is very comfortable. We then had a pre-arranged three course dinner which was absolutely perfect in every way. We went to bed early and woke up early which is just our normal day and had a really great breakfast before checking out

We had such a lovely stay at The Herring House. The rooms were well-equipped, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the amenities (kitchenette and bathroom) were fully stocked and easy to use. Our host was delightful, offering a beautiful breakfast spread every morning with a stunning view over the fjord. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and empathetic. The house itself is in a great location, towards the top of town. It's an easy walk into the center of things, but nicely removed to offer a beautiful overlook. Was in town for business, so didn't have a chance to partake in e.g. skiing and other recreational activities, but the town has amazing food, drink, and activities. Would highly recommend staying here for any season.
