I stayed for 3 nights for a trip to Sigiriya. The room was clean, the bed was large, and the amenities were great. Even though there was a small issue, the staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and they also offer dinner, which I highly recommend. You can even see Sigiriya Rock from the property, so I suggest watching the sunrise from there! (It can be hard to find a PickMe around 4:30 AM, so it might be a good idea to arrange a tuk-tuk driver in advance.)

This is a nice hotel in a great location in terms of seeing the key sights in the area we wanted to visit (walking distance to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks, and a short tuk tuk ride to a night loris walk). It is on a main road so there is a bit of noise from that if you have a room at the front of the hotel like we did - especially some loud music playing early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as available. The room was more basic than I expected for the price but importantly it was big and clean. I think you are paying the price for a proper hotel in this location. The hotel pool is big and very clean, it is perfect for a dip to cool down - and very scenic, surrounded by lovely trees. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu which has nearly no vegetarian options on it, and similarly the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth it for us to purchase, but there are lots of other restaurants walking distance from the hotel to go to. The staff were helpful especially in putting us in touch with the loris night tour.

Facilities: The facilities are a bit old, and the room was a little damp, but overall it was okay. Cleanliness: The room was fairly clean, but the floor drain had a slight odor. Environment: Located at the foot of Lion Rock, the location is excellent, with several good restaurants nearby, but it's a bit noisy along the street. Other: Dinner was at the restaurant next door. The hotel breakfast was average, with limited choices.

A magical place. Friendly staff. The manager kept asking if we were enjoying it and how we were doing. We really enjoyed it. The breakfasts are standard. The rooms come with robes and slippers, delicious toiletries, toothbrushes, and all the furniture is made of natural wood. The pool is open until 7:30 PM. The entrance to Mount Sigirya and the viewpoint of Mount Pidarungala are within walking distance. There are cafes and mini-shops nearby, open until 9-10 PM. Reviews mention electricity issues, and yes, there are, but not all day, and it's not the hotel's fault, but a general problem for the island and the country as a whole: a shortage of electricity. This is one of the Ekho hotels; we stayed nearby in Bentota, and we also liked it.

Well, the staff were very friendly! The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to Sigiriya Rock. The dinner was unique, with live music performances throughout, and the seafood barbecue was quite good. The downsides are that the facilities are really outdated. We had to ask the staff to adjust the hairdryer twice before it was usable. Also, the hot water in the shower was terrible; we had to ask the staff multiple times before we could get it working, and the water pressure was extremely low, making for a very stingy shower! The rooms were also quite small. Overall, it's hard to justify the price.

This hotel is non-refundable. After booking the wrong dates, I asked Ctrip to contact the hotel within 15 minutes, but they kept stalling for four or five days, even on the day of check-in. They kept saying they'd contact me by email, then that they'd contact me the next day after work. In the end, they refused to refund. Ctrip offered a small compensation as an apology. Later, I contacted the hotel's reservations department directly, but received no response. I was mistaken for a different guest and given a different room than the one I originally booked. When I told them it was different, they responded as if it couldn't be helped. Even though I pointed out that it was different at the time of check-in, they said it was okay and nothing was fixed at that point. As for amenities and facilities, there was no toothbrush. The hair dryer didn't work. There was no trash can in the room, and the outlet next to the bed was blocked by a pillar, so only one could be used.
