Friendly service staff. Joined the Masterchef cooking class offered by the hotel and enjoyed ourselves a lot. Chef speaks reasonably good English and they helped to make many nice photos throughout the class. Room was comfortable and spacious. If I have to pick on something, they probably need to change the in room hairdryer.

This was a nice hotel. Had everything you need and in a good location for going sightseeing or walking to places. Nice for a medium length stay!

Very nice. Pool is lovely.

The hotel was very clean and the room was spacious and comfortable! The bathtub was also large, which I was very grateful for. The water pressure in the nozzle shower was weak, and the shower attached to the ceiling had strong water pressure. Breakfast was also rich in variety, delicious and very satisfying!

The air conditioner was very loud, and one of the nights we stayed there was a party at the school next door which was very noisy. The room hygiene is average. Breakfast is also very average. The drivers and tour guides recommended to tourists by the hotel front desk are more expensive than those in the market, basically more than 17% more expensive. This is what we learned after comparing and understanding Angkor Wat for three days. Even though it is 17% more expensive than the market price, the service is not necessarily particularly good. The hotel should also earn a referral fee. Before departure, it is best to find local tour guides and cars on Xiaohongshu or the Internet to avoid being recommended by the hotel and making a fortune.

The breakfast is good, how good is it? Let's put it this way, compared to the breakfast in the domestic five-star hotel restaurant, it's just like that! The hotel booked this time is really good. Next time my friends come to Siem Reap, I would recommend staying here.

Very helpful staff that helped with bookings and transportation. Very nice pool. Room was clean and comfortable.

Hardest bed I've ever triedto sleep in.. we asked for a change out, and got it. 2nd room much softer. Each room had a shower and tub, but the shower leaks all over floor. No AC bar here. Pool area was nice. Spa hot tub, slime. Free breakfast. Mixed cambodian and western, w coffee and egg stations

Likes: (1) Excellent location - close to amenities yet nestled in a quiet, shady locale. (2) Chic and modern contemporary hotel design. (3) Room and common areas were generally well maintained and clean but wear and tear is showing in some places. Dislikes: (1) No more free round trip airport transfers since new Siem Reap Airport (SAI) opened in October 2023. (2) Bed was flimsy and provided no back support. (3) If your room faces the garden, the view is quite nice during the day. However, the downside of garden facing rooms is that on weekends, the noise from a live show in a nearby establishment permeates the room. This noise lasts until 12 midnight(!). So please beware. (4) During breakfast, the egg station was located in an outdoor area behind a sliding glass door - it might get overlooked by some guests. (5) Due to cost considerations, the air-conditioning in lobby is usually not switched on despite the sweltering weather. This is a phenomenon common in Cambodian hotels and apartment building, not just Somadevi Residence.
