The Mount Pleasant Hotel

We stayed. at this hotel mainly because of the brilliant reviews from other guests. We are so glad that we did ,from the moment you get to reception you are dealt with more as a friend than a guest .We stayed in room 16 which was clean and tidy with a rainfall shower.Breakfast was the best that i had tasted and was promptly served with a smile and plenty of politeness.All staff were helpful and very polite.If we ever came to Sidmouth again we would certainly want to stay here.The hotel is situated near the town and restaurants only 5 minutes walk away.Do yourself a favour if you come to Sidmouth stay at this hotel .

A lovely hotel with friendly and polite staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are generous and they were happy to provide me with vegan options. Close to the lovely Byes riverside park, and a short walk to Sidmouth high street and the seafront. It was a great base for a short getaway - I did a circular walk along the south west coast path to Weston Beach, returning via the wonderful Donkey Sanctuary and picturesque Salcombe Regis.

Fourth time staying at the Mount Pleasant. Standards were up to the usual highs with great service from the staff. Clean, nice warm room and brilliant food. Anyone staying here should definitely go for the Half Board option. All meals are faultless, cooked freshly and to perfection. The best breakfast in Britain served to your table. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back which is ideal for a relaxing time away. Let's hope all the team have a great season, they deserve it.

I stayed at the Mount Pleasant Hotel for two nights while on a short break and was given a very warm welcome by the friendly and professional staff. The service was outstanding as was the breakfast. My room was comfortable and good value for money. The hotel is just a short walk to the restaurants, shops and beaches in Sidmouth. I will definitely return.

Everything is perfect! From the moment you book, to the moment you leave, the level of service is 5 star the food is beyond 5 star an absolute gem of a place & can’t wait to return again this year for my 3rd visit with Mum. It really is a fabulous place to stay & enjoy Sidmouth highly recommended

We stay at this hotel every year for a family holiday and it never fails to disappoint. Always feels like coming home. Great staff and as always great food. Love that it is only a short walk to the beach and the shops. Already booked for next September

Two night stay for first visit to Sidmouth, chose this hotel as it had parking and breakfast reviews were good however the breakfast was better than good it was spot on as was the evening meal and the table service was fantastic, the location was just right for us easy walk to the sea front and a lovely river walk next to hotel.

I stayed with my husband for 4 nights and could not fault this hotel on anything. The service, efficiency and helpfulness of the staff was second to none. The bedroom fitted with all we could have required and the maid service excellent and the bed most comfortable. As for the food! This is the kind of food one expects at a 5* hotel! Everything was served promtly, piping hot ,the plates included where applicable. The choice was extensive and absolutely delicious on every occasion (we stayed Half Board). Additionally, it is located in a wonderful position, being off the main thoroughfare but within 500 metres to the sea front with a lovely terrace overlooking an extremely pretty and well laid out garden with parking for all. Needless to say, we have already booked our next stay - in June 2024 - and were lucky to be able to do so! Hardly surprisingly.
