We stopped at this place late in the evening, after walking a trail of the Kumano Kodo and I must say I have no words for how good it was. The room was incredible, food was served until 8pm and was both delicious and well-priced, the shower/Onsen was great and the location is perfect. Had the best sleep in a long time!

They went above and beyond by using a translation machine to greet and communicate with us, and they patiently introduced us to their lovely diner in great detail, one by one. Grateful for the nice and helpful lady at the reception. Facilities are great (Onsen of course), a decent room to stay in and they even offer you amenities to enjoy tea there. Also, thankful to the hotel that offered me a ride to the train station so that I don't have to worry about getting on a bus with my heavy luggage. Thank you for such a pleasant hotel experience you have offered me, hotel staff team!

I specifically chose to stay overnight in Shirahama Station to see the sea and the sunset at Engetsu Island. The price was very economical, and I could have the room all to myself. The room even had a private toilet and bathroom, although it was the smallest bathroom I've ever seen, it was still sufficient for showering. The receptionist was very warm and attentive, explaining everything in advance. You need to make your own futon on the floor, which was a fun experience. There was a guidebook of nearby restaurants in the room, recommended by the guesthouse staff, which you can use to try out local eateries. It's only a 10-minute walk to Engetsu Island. It was cloudy that evening, so I didn't take any sunset photos and went straight to the coral reef for a lobster feast. The road along the coastline was very pleasant. The guesthouse also offers free bicycles, but the local roads are a bit narrow, so I didn't try them. The next day, it was a 30-minute walk to Senjojiki, and another 15-minute walk to Sandanbeki. Also, the weather in Shirahama is incredibly unpredictable. It was sunny and calm when I arrived, but after dinner, it was pouring rain. The next day, the intermittent drizzle mixed with the strong sea breeze was also unforgettable.

room is so bigger & onsen is large both is clear and comfortable they have free welcome drink is very nice , as we're so enjoy for this service lobby staff is nice and english communicate is no problem we will choose this hotel again

Not the biggest space around but it’ll do. Place was very clean and there is parking if you’re driving.

Very close to my diving place, very convenient

Overall was a good experience and nice environment, food was good. Improvement:- It will be good to have buggy service for customers regardless of time as some of us may have big and many luggages to carry by hand to the room. It will be better to have more different variety and choice of dinner food the next day,  as we were dining two days with almost same food.

The panda room was very cute and nice.
