This hotel is located within a short walking distance from the Kumamoto station. From the JR bstation exit it is on the left, just beside the Bic Camera store next. There is also a streetcar/tram stop so near the hotel which you can use to explore the city touristy spots! Shopping is convenient as the Kumamoto AMU Plaza (see another Review) is 5-mins walk away. The lobby is quite spacious and I quite like the intimate setting and lighting. Check-in was fast and 3 lifts serve well with travellers + luggages. The room design is quite standard and we have requested for x2 single bed, the room size is respectable. Noted that they're still using the physical hard key and not the keycard type. Hottel provided some amenities and complimentary bottled water in the room, sufficient for us . The Hotel is very into Going Green, there will be no housekeeping within first 3-days unless requested upon. This may likely be the model moving forward, to cut wastages. We had our breakfast at the nearby Pronto. The Kitaoka Shrine is just about 400 metres nearby, opposite direction of JR station so we recommend to drop by if time permits. A good stay experience. J

Stayed in a suite room. The view from the room is good and you can enjoy your meal while looking at this view. To be honest, the taste of the food is average, but it is full of ideas, such as putting blue agar on a large plate to represent the pond in front of you, and each dish on top represents a bird. . The quality of the bath was very good, and it was very comfortable to be in. The staff was polite and I was able to stay very comfortably. We think that price is low.

Clean rooms, friendly staffs. Would preferred to have a water heater in the room but instead they gave a flask of hot water. Dinner food is not quite up to standard as per other ryokan. Side dishes is buffet style. Can go for the free flow sake. Breakfast seems to be a better spread. There are better restaurants along the coasts. Do check your bus and train timing before moving out.

Very clean, I can cook my favorite things, and I am very satisfied. Also, the sea was in front of me and the view from the second floor was the best. In the sea, I was able to fish, and I was able to fish, and I was able to fish, and I was able to fish, and I was able to fish, and I was able to fish, and I was able to fish, and I was able to The sweaty clothes outside are perfect, washed in the washroom with a washing dryer, and there is no laundry after returning. Check in at the nearby Hamakan Hotel, then return to the Gisco Hotel, press your PIN yourself and enter the hotel. There are no employees at the front desk. In case of emergency, it seems to call the Hamakan Hotel. Take your favorite drink from the refrigerator at the front desk 1 book. Breakfast is also a system to take from the refrigerator by yourself, but I'm worried about safety because there is no one. At night 8 Sometimes, night shifts seem to come. It feels like an apartment or apartment with auto locks. The room is clean and tidyly renovated. Toilets, wash basins and showers are separate 々 so it is easy to use. There was even a foot massage machine and a hair iron. The view is great as you can see the sea from the room. There are seven and supermarkets just near the hotel. There is also a place to eat. I don't use it, but there are also large communal baths and table tennis tables.

Stayed 4-nights whilst using Kumamoto as a base for day trips by train to Amakusi-Misumi, Aso-Miyaji, Nagasaki and Beppu. The Toyoko Inn is therefore ideal being within 200m of the entrance to Kumamoto Station and for getting about Kumamoto, the main stop for the Kumamoto Shiden (Tram) is right outside the hotel. As I had an early start each day I didn't get to try the free breakfast included in the room rate and arriving back late each evening, the food court on the 7th floor of the Amu Plaza adjacent to the Station proved really convenient (open until 10 ~ 11pm). Budget-priced hotels in Japan tend to provide small but well-eqipped rooms and Toyoko Inn is no exception. I opted for the cheaper room rate whereby your room isn't serviced daily, only fresh towels provided; even better value-for-money.

GGuest User 2024.01.05
It's too big and too flashy. This hotel gives people a ”feeling of trying to be qualified in everything.” The room is large, but only large, and does not have many facilities; the shower room is large, but there is no bathtub; books are provided in the lobby, and the information in the room even teaches you how to meditate by soaking in water, but it does not provide travel information about ”Unzen Hell”; The hot springs are divided into men's and women's baths, each with two indoor pools and one outdoor pool, but they are all public baths and there are no family-style baths for families and couples. Don’t have room for a bathtub in the room? No, they are just lazy; is it troublesome to proactively provide check-in guests with guide information on nearby attractions? No, they are just lazy; don’t they have room for one or two more couples for families or couples? neither. From the moment you step into the hotel, one staff member will help you place your luggage, one will register your passport, one will ask you to sign the paper, and one will take you to your room. It is amazing that they know you are a foreign traveler and send 4 staff in a row who can't speak English at all. The staff reception, they only care about what they say, whether you understand or not is not their concern. All I can say is that today, even small hotels in the countryside run by husbands and wives know how to use Google Translate to actively talk to you, but this famous hot spring hotel chain that charges you HKD 2,900 for an ordinary room doesn’t even know how to use Google Translate to talk to you. There are no employees who speak English or are willing to take the initiative to use a translation app to communicate with you. Here comes the place that shocked me the most. After checking in, the staff member who took me to my room took out his iPad and played a 5-10 minute video in front of me, explaining where there were toilets and coffee in the lobby. After watching it, when I went up to the room, *** took out an iPad and played a video to introduce the room. The families who checked in at the same time as us had already gone to their rooms to put their luggage before going out to play, but I was still watching a movie at the door. They came up with the laziest method. Instead of learning the English to take care of guests or memorizing the English in the video, they just handed you an iPad. I can only say that the perception is really bad. In the nearby Unzen Jigoku, there are two completely different experiences when going there in the daytime and at night: if you go there in the morning, you will see clearly with the help of daylight, but if you go to the hell at night, you will feel the best! Of course, the staff will not tell you this practical travel information. You can find it online yourself. I don’t want him to give me another iPad. But there is one thing to say, the scenery facing Unzen Hell is unique. The kaiseki meal for dinner is pretty good for a foreigner. It’s delicious and filling. The most important thing is that the menu is bilingual, and finally there is an English-speaking uncle who takes the initiative to explain the ingredients and food to you in English. Law. As for his hot springs. . . . It's pretty fancy, and there's a Dyson hair dryer to blow your hair, but after soaking in the hot springs, they only provide simple drinks and popsicles, and there's no milk or Yoming Ramen. You know, just pass the test.

This time? Then, go to a hot spring inn. I made it ”Seiunso” with a good reputation for word of mouth. As a result, it was a great success! I was able to spend a fulfilling time in a waste of one night. The room was a bed, but comfortable as a wide 々. All the meals were delicious, including Nagasaki Wagyu beef. Breakfast was gorgeous and I replaced it many times. It was good that there was a pigeon, a local dish in Nagasaki. And after all, the bath was good! It was a pity that the large communal bath and the open air were completely different, but both were able to take a leisurely bath as wide 々. Especially while soaking in Tsuboyu, the time to watch the starry sky was very luxurious, and I wanted time to stop. It has become my favorite inn!

Although we were blessed with clear skies, we were impressed by the wonderful view. Beautiful from both the restaurant and the terrace of the room. The wide deck chairs are also great. First of all, I would like to say a few words for those who are coming next. I set my phone number in the navigation system and can arrive smoothly, but at the last intersection when I say ”This is my destination,” I get ”?” (lol). I couldn't find a toll road or signboard in front of me, so I turned left, checked on my smartphone, and found a road next to the toll road and a signboard. It's behind a traffic light pillar and parallel to the road, so you can't see it...If you're going to tilt it a little, or if it's too late, it might be helpful to get a little guidance email. When you walk along the signboard, the first building you see is a vintage building, and for a moment you're like, ``Wow!'' As I continued on, I was relieved to find a hotel that was exactly as advertised (lol). The view from the entrance will soothe you. I was wondering about the appearance of the room as there were various reviews, but aside from the appearance, the interior, including the toilet, washbasin, and shower facilities, were new enough, easy to use, and comfortable. And the view from the terrace was amazing. The food was very delicious, including pasta with prawns and clams in tomato sauce, and grilled abalone. Lately, I haven't been able to eat a lot of food, and when I order the dishes in order, I can't finish the last main dish at all, so I had to force myself to speed up the meal and serve the dishes at a faster pace. Thanks to that, I enjoyed the abalone, steak, and pistachio ice cream. I'm sorry that I still couldn't eat it all and left it behind. Breakfast was also delicious. The view from the restaurant in the morning is also a treat. Great view, room facilities, amenities, good food, and great value for money! I think. After a long time, I came across a hotel recommended by a friend. Everyone please come too. thank you for helping me.

The campaign of the example started and I wanted to do ”stay to eat crab” once. It was a reservation just before the consecutive holiday, but I managed to get the last room of this inn. This time, the facilities were not emphasized in the main meal, but it was a firm building than I thought I would arrive, and the staff was also pissed. The room was a special room and was spacious and fun to mystery. Although the public bath is not large, the number of accommodation rooms itself is small, so it was not crowded even in full room. The dinner I was looking forward to was as expected, especially the crab fried fried crab that can be eaten by the shell tasted the taste. The venue is a different room from the room of the accommodation, and there is a toilet and a TV, and it is very comfortable. It was the first time I had such a slow meal at the inn. In the morning, I walked to the beach about 5 minutes walk. Because it is a tidal flat area, it is not a blue sea on the white sandy beach, but it was clean and it was a hole. The coffee service that can be served in the lounge after breakfast was good.

HHUILINThe hotel is a pure Japanese-style hotel, the rooms are large and clean, and the hot spring rooms are also Japanese-style. The waiters are very good and the service is good. An appointment is made for breakfast at 8 o'clock in the morning. I entered the breakfast room at 8:03 and found that the breakfast was neat and tidy Placed on the table and waited..., If you want to experience an authentic Japanese hotel, this is the best choice. In addition, you can’t enter the hotel with shoes. Socks or slippers are required. When checking out, the shoes were cleaned and placed there. There is an extra charge for the hot spring, which seems to be 600 yen a day. In terms of location, the hotel is very close to Shimabara Outer Harbor Station, just a few minutes walk after the battle. There is the sea outside the window..., the dock... the boat to Kumamoto. There are two Familymart convenience stores downstairs near the station. There are two big supermarkets not far away. It is very convenient to walk or take a small train to the city center. If it is not for shopping, Shimabara is a place worth visiting, quiet and quiet...

GGuest UserI stayed overnight at work. The moment you enter the hall, what is this 〜! It feels like. The whole wall is surrounded by books, there is a lot of space for children to play, there is a table tennis table, and for some reason there are goats. From the room, you can see the Ariake Sea all over, you can see the you tube on the large screen with the projector, and there is also a Nintendo switch. Anyway, it's a strange inn. The building is quite old, but it has been renovated and I can feel the feeling of 〜 that entertains the people who came anyway. This time it was work, so I just slept and ate breakfast, but this time it made me want to come with my family. The best thing was the bath. The hot water that you can relax while looking at the Ariake Sea was the best. You can have coffee and ice candy in the bath. It was a strange inn that was a little different.

It is one of the best hotels in Shimabara. Despite the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the size of the rooms are impeccable, the price is reasonable. All of the rooms in the main building of the hotel face the Ariake Sea, so you can enjoy the wonderful sunrise sea view. The hotel's main building and new building have shared Onsen. You can enjoy various types of Onsen. However, there are few restaurants around the hotel. Even if they are, they are far from the hotel or in places that are difficult for first-time visitors. Under such circumstances, the restaurant attached to the hotel is always crowded. If you use the restaurant, you should check the available times without waiting. If you have a portable Wi-Fi router, you will have to worry that it is hard to use or not available at all in the building. Although there is free Wi-Fi service at this hotel, it cannot be guaranteed the speed and security of communication because it is shared by guests. Onsen is not so large compared to the number of people who can stay. In particular, it will be very crowded from 22:00 to 23:00 just before Onsen service ends. If you use it, you should avoid that time.

GGuest UserBut what a beautiful surprise!!! We had some doubt about the parking, but once we arrived we quietly parked from the 1-7 parking places next to the hotel. Well in line with the mega rooms of the American motel.Decoration a little old style, but everything very clean and very friendly and available staff. Well located inside the city, and near a supermarket very provided for take away. Excellent price quality ratio. Super super recommended!!

HHUIThe breakfast is rich and delicious, with Japanese food and Western style. The hotel is actually a bit away from Shimabara Station, but it can't be reached within ten minutes. There are multiple buses in front of the door, which can reach Shimabara Port to Kumamoto, or directly to Unzen Hot Spring. The hotel room is facing Shimabara Castle, with a wide view of the scenery. It’s not far from the martial arts house. Go out and turn right a few steps to the home of the three Shiba Inu brothers. One more walk is Liyu Street. In short, the price is better.

GGuest UserA business hotel located diagonally in front of Shimabara City Hall, a 2-3 minute walk from Shimabara Station. Parking is available around the hotel. Breakfast consisted of bento boxes, instant miso soup, and furikake. The room was relatively clean and not very large, so it was a so-called business hotel. I didn't enter the public bath, which is a men's and women's time system. The service at the front desk was normal and the amenities were normal. The location is good, but is it like a business hotel with no features? There was a station hotel within a few minutes walk.
