The hotel looks like Disneyland from the outside, but instead of a Disney cartoon this was more of a horror movie. The receptionist was polite but whole process of registration was too long and pretty annoying. Our room was just fine, no complains about that. The bathroom smelled pretty bad. The room had a window, but the view was just a wall of the hotel’s hall and we could hear everyone from the hall. We didn’t want anything to ruin our holiday so we went outside to visit Stone forest which is 10 mins away by car. When we came back after a few hours, the receptionist called us again because they actually didn’t register us. They waisted around 40 mins of our time this time. Finally we got to our room. I wanted to take a shower….guess what? There was no hot water. We were told they can fix it after 8 pm. Around the hotel there is literally nothing. Breakfast is below average, but just for 15 rmb. If you are visiting Shilin just to see Stone forest, better option is just to go back to Kunming after. The hotel is definitely not worth the price.

It is a good location if you want to visit Stone Forest but be prepared only to spend the night there as there is nothing around. Breakfast is very limited, noodles and mantou. However being just 10 mn from the scenic area is very convenient.
