Mujia Apartment (Shijiazhuang Xinbai Square Subway Station Branch)

The hotel is located in a shopping mall, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. It's only about 600 meters from the subway, a 5-minute walk for me. Service: Pretty good. There's a self-service washing machine, but you need to bring your own detergent and washing powder. Facilities: It took me a while to figure out how to use the air conditioner. The water dispenser is quite good, but it only offers 5°C free electricity (presumably for cooling the water). Environment: The room was very cool, though I'm not sure if it's because it's north-facing or something else. It was a bit humid, however.

Good, it has everything you need.

The soundproofing is terrible; you can hear every footstep in the hallway, which will wake you up in the middle of the night and early morning – unless you're a really deep sleeper. The bedding hygiene is concerning; it felt like sleeping on straw, very stiff, and I woke up with an itchy body. The toothbrush in the toiletries looked like it had been opened, and I'm not sure if it was used or not. They clearly don't check these things. The shampoo and body wash didn't lather at all, making it feel like I hadn't washed. When I raised these issues, their attitude was also poor. It just goes to show, you get what you pay for.
