I booked a deluxe room for 3 adults and 1 child 11 years old. I was asked to bring one extra bed and the amenities for four people. There were only 3 sets of bath towels and face towels, so I asked for one, and they were very responsive and delivered quickly. It was one of my most memorable trips with my family, so I'm very satisfied. Since it's not within easy reach, I had a very comfortable stay for two nights.

A very cost-effective hotel, has a history of 147 years, is the earliest Western-style hotel in Niigata, and still maintains a high level today. Stayed during the Changgang Fireworks Conference, the price is higher than usual, but quality service, convenient transportation and delicious meals still make people feel good value for money. It takes 4 stops to take the bus to Niigata Station. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the bus station. You can also walk from the underground street with a very historical feeling. It is very cool in summer. It is 1000 yen to take a taxi to the train station. There are many temples and shrines around the hotel, as well as the old sites of the consulates in the countries of the year, 8 minutes walk from the Niigata Art Museum. From the hotel room you can see the Sea of Japan directly and walk to the beach for a quarter of an hour. Going out is the famous Huajie in Niigata, restaurants, pubs and clubs are all around. The hotel has a very rich breakfast, curry rice, omelet and yogurt are very good. The Marco Polo Restaurant and the Sapporo Restaurant are great, and there is a famous Chinese restaurant. The room bath is pola, the bath salt is DHC. Very characteristic is the quilt cover, is made with Japanese and paper fiber, very comfortable.

We stayed two nights at the JR East Hotel Mets at the Niigata station after arriving from Tokyo by Shinkansen. I think we exited to the western concourse and signs to hotel were easy enough to follow. The walkway enters level 3 of the hotel. Very conveniently, right next to a 7-Eleven. Also super convenient is the sake museum. Definitely must visit. Check-in was efficient and we were given rooms on the top floor (level 9). A rather basic room that has everything except for an in-room safe. No coffee (nor bottled water) was provided with the kettle but only tea. Not a problem as free coffee can be made in the waiting area next to the reception. Also in the reception area is where more bathroom amenities are provided. Only toothbrushes are in the room. The bath area in the room is large with a wash area and a stool like at the onsen along with a bathtub. That’s where a visit to the amenities area in reception comes in handy. Wifi was speedy enough for our needs. The convenient location was great for us as we arrived in the rain. There is plenty of choices for food and even shopping. Do explore around. We did buy day passes for the Niigata City Loop Bus (JPY500 per adult). Check-out was as efficient as check-in. While there wasn’t much of a view, the hotel was just right for us. Definitely worth considering

(Front) There were several groups at ﾁｴｯｸｲﾝ for Saturday night stays, but at the reception in the lobby, 4 ～ 5 groups will do ﾁｴｯｸｲﾝ at １ degrees. It is a very good response that you can't wait in vain while there are too many inns that respond to １ groups at the time of congestion. There is an empty small refrigerator and an electric kettle in the room. The trouble is that the facility is old, so I could only find one power outlet in the washroom, so I searched for it and finally found it on my way home to the side of the safe in the room. It's tough now that smartphone power is essential. (Hot spring public bath) １ The feature of number number is that this radium hot spring is tasteless, odorless and doesn't feel thick, but after taking a bath, it will always be warm and addictive. The feeling of liberation of the garden open-air bath is the best ‼️ You must bring it because there are no towels in the large communal bath. There is no water or tea after the hot water, and if you don't go to the side of the front desk, you can't heal your thirst 😢 Bathroom amenities are only cotton swabs and hand soap (male bathhouse) Thorough savings from accommodation costs? ?? (Dinner and breakfast) Supper is served on a chair table in which the hall is divided into each group. Appetizers and sashimi are served first, and then served once in a small set style. The dish was a very delicious dish that emphasized content rather than volume. What was disappointing was that Koshihikari, a pot cooked from Sasagami, was disappointing for the rice in Niigata 🍚. Breakfast is a general level, but Nakai will carefully recommend you to replace rice and miso soup, so be careful to eat too much.

Location about 2 minutes walk from Mandai Guchi, Niigata Station. There is a convenience store on the 1 floor. I think it is a hotel with a history, but it seems to have been completely renovated recently, and it is picca to the corner 々. Very comfortable. There is a plane parking lot next to the three-dimensional parking lot, and two wheels are put into the picture. It is half underground, so it sleeps. The room is a railway view. This is a pleasure for the vehicle-based Tetsu.Niigata Station is a transitional period in which the conventional platform is divided into ground and elevated, so it seems to be an interesting scenery. There is a large bath though it is not taken. I took a morning bath, but there were few people and comfortable. Breakfast is suspension of buffet form and is provided in Bento form. It is 1300 yen later, but it seems to be quite suitable for the price. If it is poor, it is better than the buffet? It was balanced and healthy, and the material and taste were not bad. Close to downtown and not expensive. Very recommended.

The hot springs were open for a long time and I was able to enjoy them enough. I was happy that the temperature was relatively high. The room was a rare outer corridor ＆ open door, which was uncomfortable at first, but I got used to it. The room is very small and the layout is more like a nursing care facility than a hotel. The lighting was dazzling and my eyes were tired. I think it would have been nice if it could be dimmed or light bulb color.

My family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!
