Reviews for Shenzhen Hotels

Shenzhen Bay North Post Yixuan Hotel
4.7/5267 Reviews
Science and Technology Park
The location is a 5-minute walk from Exit C of Yuehaimen Station. It is surrounded by science and technology institutes and universities. It is relatively quiet at night. There are no restaurants nearby. It mainly focuses on eating out and ordering takeout. Takeaways can only be picked up by yourself in the lobby. The hotel does not have robots to deliver food. Go to the room, the room is fully intelligently controlled, the place is very clean The service attitude of the sister at the front desk was good, no enthusiasm, only one question and one answer
囍鵲民宿(南門東路4號分店)

Jiaochangwei and Dapeng Fortress
The facilities are very complete, even disposable bathtub covers are provided. The environment is very beautiful and full of small details. There is a roof garden and a small yard on the first floor with elegant furnishings. Miss sister service is very good. Very polite and not overly enthusiastic. I like to come again.
FOUR+ Ocean Sonic Hotel(Yantian, ShenZhen)

Shatoujiao and Chung Ying Street
Rode out to Yantian on my bike and arrived here for the second time. Covid restrictions make travelling anywhere in China difficult right now but the guy behind the desk was patient, friendly and extremely helpfull throughout the convoluted check-in process. Nice room (a few stray hairs - but otherwise clean) and a great location for restaurants and walking/cycling along the coast. Recommended!
Shenzhen Linian Hotel

Shekou Area (Nanshan District)
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. As a foreigner traveling in China can be difficult with all the temporary residence registration required by the government . Kitty went over and beyond to help me through all the procedures and get it confirmed. I highly recommend this hotel for foreigners visiting Shenzhen Special thanks to kitty ♥️
Shenzhen Anjia Youth Hostel

Longhua New District and Shenzhen North Railway Station
It is three or four hundred meters away from Minzhi Subway Station. The accommodation environment is not bad. I stayed once before and the living conditions are more convenient. I will come to stay if I need it in the future.
Kyriad Marvelous Hotel (Shenzhen Qinghu Metro Station)

Hotel is nice but a little far and side of Qinghu metro station

More about Shenzhen

Shenzhen: A Glimpse into the Future

From a small fishing village to a bustling metropolis, Shenzhen's transformation over the past few decades is nothing short of extraordinary. Located in southeastern China, bordering Hong Kong to the south, Shenzhen is a city of gleaming skyscrapers, sprawling tech campuses, and vibrant culture. Known as China's Silicon Valley, it's a beacon of innovation and modernity.

Tips for Travelling to Shenzhen

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport connects the city to various international destinations. Shenzhen is also conveniently linked to China's high-speed rail network. The Shenzhen Metro is a popular mode of transportation within the city.

The official currency is the Chinese Yuan (CNY). The main modes of payments are usually through AliPay or WeChat Pay. The official language is Mandarin, though Cantonese and English are also widely spoken in business and tourist areas.

For visa requirements, most travelers will need a Chinese visa. However, Shenzhen offers a 5-day visa on arrival to certain nationalities. Do check with your local Chinese embassy or consulate for the latest visa information.

Must-Visit Attractions in Shenzhen

Discover Shenzhen's futurism at the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum or by touring the tech campuses of giants like Huawei and Tencent. For leisure, head to the city's green lungs, Shenzhen Bay Park, or ascend the Ping An Finance Centre for panoramic city views.

History and culture buffs will love the "Splendid China" Folk Village, showcasing miniatures of China's famous landmarks and various ethnic cultures. For shopping and dining, visit the vibrant Huaqiangbei electronics market or the upscale MixC Shopping Mall.

Weather & Best Time to Visit Shenzhen

Shenzhen experiences a subtropical climate, with temperatures ranging from 15°C in winter to 31°C in summer. The city has a wet season from April to September, with the rest of the year being relatively dry. The best time to visit is from October to December when the weather is pleasant and there is less rainfall. Light, breathable clothing is recommended, along with a good pair of walking shoes.

Choosing Your Hotel in Shenzhen

For luxury stays near shopping and entertainment, consider The Langham, Shenzhen, located in the Futian district. Tech enthusiasts might prefer a hotel in the Nanshan district, like the Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen, close to many tech company headquarters.

If you're on a budget, the Shenzhen Dongmen Colour Hotel offers good value for money, while for Instagrammable aesthetics, the stylishly modern Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen, is a great choice.
