Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre (St Mary's Gate)

No charging points anywhere near beds, only charing all on the opposite wall, TV no in front of the bed, very horribly poorly designed, toilet flush sooooo hard to push, proper poor design

Stayed here for one night after seeing a show in the city, ideally placed, easy onsite parking and polite and helpful staff, slightly disrupted during the night due to the mindless vandalism outside but the hotel can’t be blamed for that, overall it was a pleasant stay and we would visit again

I had a really nice stay at this Premier Inn. The room was comfy and quiet and the staff I met were very friendly and welcoming. There were a couple of issues during my stay including an oven that had broken and faulty electrics in my room. However I still had a really tasty evening meal and Tina came straight up to my room and helpfully sorted out the electrics as soon as I'd reported the issue. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sheffield.

Very expensive. Always use Premier Inn as they are normally good value for money However this was not worth £159 paid for one night. Also stayed in London at Premer Inn on the previous weekend which was only £54. Bathroom not particulary clean, window didn't open and sink not even in the bathroom. Breakfast also over priced. Orange juice was very watery, had to wait for bacon, eggs were hard and had to wait for fresh. Staff were lovely but very busy. Maybe a couple more members of staff might have helped keep to keep on top of every thing. If they want to advertise themselves as value for money, they they really need to rethink their pricing structure.

Negatives first, of all - the hotel is dated and could really do with an update. I was disappointed to find that I'd have to pay £6 a night for parking when I'd booked a 2 night stay, and I was also told that if I moved my car and there was nowhere to park in the Premier Inn car park there was one about 5 mins walk from the hotel but it was expensive, not really what you want to hear when you've paid nearly £300 for your stay. Also, the ovens had broken, so they were unable to cook half of the food on the menu! Again, it's not something you want to hear when you've paid for a meal deal! On a more positive note, the location is good, the staff are really nice and friendly and try their best to help you. The food that we did have was OK (gammon, chips with pineapple, as you didn't need an oven to cook it!), however as my child has ADHD it did cause him to stress out as he couldn't get what he wanted! For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding with custard that was delicious 😋 The room itself was OK, just what you need for a sleepover and the breakfast had a reasonably good choice too.

We stayed at this hotel with my family for a wedding, and all the staff were so lovely and accommodating. A special thank you to the young lad (I believe his name was Dawid) as he was so helpful and informative, and nothing was too much trouble for him. We also really enjoyed the breakfast at this hotel, it was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be staying again!

Very welcoming staff….. very helpful…… great food in the restaurant….. clean and tidy rooms….. Very close to the center of Sheffield…… Decent prices on food, drinks and rooms….. Car park is a bit tight if you have a large vehicle………………………..
