Yanlu Library Oxygen Hotel, Shangri-La(Dukezong Ancient City North Gate)

The hotel is just decent. Not really considered a hotel but more like a homestay as it is located above a small library. Love the dog Bala but other than that the toilet bowl really clog every time you dispose toilet paper so please remember not to flush down toilet paper. Also, the bathroom is super slippery, the tiles are not suitable for bathroom usage, my daughter slipped and fell on her first night. Our beds were not made the next day. Breakfast was basic.

Hotel is conveniently located in Dukezong ancient town area, which is readily accessible after leaving the hotels doors. They also have a very adorable dog named Bala who is extremely endearing. Overall hotel has a nice and cozy vibe with all necessary amenities. Would recommend a stay here.

Great location right at the northern entrance of the old town, making it super convenient to walk into Dukezong while still staying in a relatively quiet area. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, with good English. They have a very cute dog there too! :) Rooms are well maintained and have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including an oxygen machine available if required. Overall, a smooth and pleasant stay in Shangri-La, and a solid choice if you want something close to the action but not in the middle of the crowds. Almost forgot, they arranged a pick-up from the railway station which was great!

The hotel is conveniently located near the street of the ancient town and also accessible by cars. The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. We were staying in the duplex rooms equipped with the heating floor, humidifier, the oxygen machine and smart toilet. The best thing is the staff who speak English very well and really take a good care of the guests. They offer one-time airport/ railway transfer and packed breakfast for our early departure. We did have a great time staying at this place :)

Wonderful Stay – Helpful Staff & Smart Toilet (A Must for Indonesians!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic stay at Yanlu Library Shangrila Hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful – they answered every question we had about traveling around Shangrila. Upon check-in, they helped us carry our luggage upstairs even though there is no lift. Honestly, it wasn't a problem at all because they were so attentive and made the process easy. They also introduced all the hotel facilities and nearby tourist attractions, which helped us get familiar with the area quickly. One staff member even helped solve my ******* delivery app problem, introduced local specialties, and was always ready to help whenever we needed anything. A special thank you to Ms. Pan and Mr. Qiu – you two are the best! Your kindness and professionalism made our trip much more enjoyable. Now, the most important thing for Indonesian travelers like us: the smart toilet with bidet! We had been traveling in Yunnan for 8 days before arriving here, and this was the first time we found a toilet with a bidet. What a relief! After days without one, this felt like absolute luxury. If you're looking for a cozy, well-located hotel in Shangrila with genuinely helpful staff and thoughtful facilities, look no further. Highly recommended! An absolutely exceptional stay! The hotel is more than wonderful, from its perfect location to the outstanding service. The staff are incredibly cooperative and go above and beyond at all times to help with anything you need. What truly sets this place apart is the vibe—it feels like a warm home rather than just a hotel. Highly recommended!
