The overall experience at Indigo Shangri-La was outstanding: The lobby design is impressive, featuring afternoon tea seating with spectacular views overlooking Dukezong Ancient Town. The rooms are very comfortable, and the underfloor heating works excellently. The shuttle service is punctual, and the staff's service is thoughtful and attentive; they helped with printing documents and promptly provided an extra duvet upon request. The breakfast selection is rich and delicious, with excellent service throughout. It's conveniently located for easy access to the city center, making it a top choice for accommodation in Shangri-La. Areas for improvement: The hotel grounds lack distinctive high-altitude free-range landscape features. The children's toothpaste provided is a cool and stimulating type (spicy taste), unsuitable for young children. The children's amenities need optimization. Special thanks to Daisy and Lhamo for their attentive and prompt service.

The room environment was excellent, and the service was great. The breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and diverse. They even have buggies that can drop you off downstairs, which is a nice touch. The travel photography session was also fantastic, with a wide selection of costumes. Definitely worth recommending! It's especially suitable for older guests.

When planning my trip to Shangri-La, I was torn between Songtsam and Indigo Hotel Moonlight City. I ultimately chose Indigo because of its proximity to the ancient town, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The room also had oxygen, which made for a very comfortable stay. From the hotel balcony, you get a fantastic panoramic view of the entire ancient town. A special shoutout to our butlers, Klaus and Mark, for their meticulous service – they made us feel right at home. I'll definitely be booking this hotel again on my next visit!

Ambiance: The environment is excellent, and it's very convenient for getting around. Breakfast: There's a huge variety, and everything tastes delicious. My only regret is not having a bigger stomach!

Staying at the Hotel Indigo Diqing Moonlight City was, without a doubt, the biggest highlight of my entire Shangri-La trip. Perched atop the Dukezong Ancient City, my room's balcony offered breathtaking panoramic views of the entire ancient town, with the Dafo Temple and the world's largest prayer wheel right before my eyes. Waking up to the ancient city shrouded in a gentle mist in the mornings, and then watching it transform at night with countless lights twinkling and the golden prayer wheel shimmering – every moment was so captivating, I couldn't tear my eyes away. The facilities were equally flawless. The room featured a full-house diffused oxygen system and underfloor heating, which was an absolute godsend for someone like me coming from a lower altitude, ensuring a truly restful night's sleep. The minibar was complimentary, and I was greeted with a delightful spread of welcome fruits and snacks. Thoughtful details like the Dyson hairdryer and heated towel rack truly showcased their attention to guest comfort. However, what impressed me the most was the warm and attentive service. A special shout-out to Daisy Klaus! From her enthusiastic welcome at check-in to her proactive advice on high-altitude precautions and local sightseeing tips, every interaction made me feel genuinely cared for. Daisy was consistently smiling, patiently answering all my questions with a professional yet gentle demeanor. At check-out, she even thoughtfully presented me with a local specialty souvenir, which was the perfect ending to my trip.

They offer a one-way transfer service to or from Shangri-La Airport/High-Speed Rail Station (choose one: pickup or drop-off). The service was excellent; the driver was on time, and they even helped us reschedule our pickup when we changed our high-speed train last minute. As for the service: Both front desk staff, Daisy and Lhamo, were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, making us feel right at home. They even gave us a small gift at checkout. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

The balcony in the room opens up, which is great for sitting or lying outside comfortably. The air conditioning in the room is a big plus; you can turn on the cold AC if you're sensitive to heat. However, the amenities need an upgrade. The wooden comb was of terrible quality, splitting and snagging my hair after just one use. Also, the toothpaste tube should have an easy-tear seal; the current design is inconvenient for kids and women with manicures. Breakfast was pretty good, with most essentials covered. But hygiene needs attention. While eating noodles, I found a hair in the pickled vegetables, which was quite unpleasant. The environment is probably one of the best near the ancient town. The only downside is the steep slope you have to walk up to get back to the hotel after shopping, which was exhausting. It even made me reconsider going out a few times. It would be much better if the hotel could arrange a shuttle for that stretch near the entrance. Since it's close to the ancient town and many small shops, taking a taxi for such a short distance back to the hotel isn't really an option.

The room was a bit dated, but the breakfast was quite unique. However, every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Ms. Daisy Klaus at the front desk. On the day we checked in, she upgraded our room to one facing the old town, where we could even see Songzanlin Monastery. Knowing our flight was late, she also arranged for a late check-out despite the hotel being fully booked. Thank you! They also offer a complimentary one-way transfer service from either Shangri-La Airport or the train station (choose one).
