Great place to stay in Haba village

The boss was very nice and helpful, but i felt most of the time she was trying to sell us overpriced hiking tours, guides, horses and summit Haba mountain packages, which are nearly 3000rmb to climb the mountain and 1300 for hikes to the black lake, which is possible to do yourself using maps.me. It seems the Haba area now has now been set up for these overpriced tours and it's not possible to hire guides at reasonable prices, before going i read 300 a day with a horse, online and, was quoted that at Halfway House in Tiger leaping, which i didn't take because i thought i would get this in Haba. At the hotel i was quoted us 800 a day with no food or horse. wow too much..If you want to hike in this kind of area and don't want to feel like you are been given the hard sell, go to Yubeng. The hotel had no electric the night we stayed and the boss didn't give us any lights or a torch, so by 8pm we were in total darkness and couldn't charge our phones and battery packs, other hotels and homes nearby had electric that same night. They should invest in a backup generator. My friends room was dirty and had a full wastebin in the toilet and lots of hair in the shower plug.

The guesthouse is very good, one of the best I've been. The owner is very helpful at organizing trips to Haba Snow Mountain and Black Lake. He drove us to the trailhead of Haba Snow Mountain, we only hiked to Black Lake, but he was able to organize a horse and guide, he also came along and gave us a free ride in his truck up and back. He is currently building a series of luxurious tents to stay near Haba Snow Mountain and provided us a place to rest. The food at the guesthouse is excellent, cooked by his daughter. Well priced and huge meals, breakfast was included. The rooms were very new and clean. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Haba Village after Tiger Leaping Gorge, due to the excellent service. Get a shared car from Tina's Guesthouse for convenience.

Very nice place close to the start of the hiking trail. The staff is super helpful and kind, they prepare very nice food. You can have western washroom and the shower is hot and nice. Also they can prepare you coffee for breakfast and some eggs if you prefer western style breakfast. The price is very convenient and the service very good. They also can arrange you transportation to some other city line shangri-la or lijiang if you need.

I thought it was a developed scenic spot, but no, it was a gathering place for travel enthusiasts. My heart was broken when I went there. After sleeping for one night, I immediately left and went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. There is no TV in the room, but everything else is in place, because most people don't go there, and the room facilities are very new. The boss gave me the feeling that we are poor people who are reluctant to spend money. There are seniors and juniors in the family. It’s my fault that I didn’t understand it clearly and didn’t do a thorough guide. I thought it was a scenic spot. The first choice place for mountaineering enthusiasts.

The room was comfortable, the hot water was plentiful, and the food was delicious. The walking tour arranged by the owner is also good!

Nice inn, the owner's family is very friendly, breakfast and dinner are delicious, quiet and beautiful scenery.
