SUYE Suye | Eastern Serenity Vivora Scenic Homestay (Dukezong Ancient City Big Buddha Temple)

This hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town. Its Wabi-sabi style decor is tasteful and chic, and the quality truly rivals hotels that cost 2,000 RMB a night. My friend and I stayed for two nights and we honestly didn't want to check out. We've already promised each other we'll come back to Shangri-La just for this hotel. Hope it continues to thrive!

Clean and hygienic, the facilities are very new, and the service is excellent. They even offer delicious afternoon tea snacks! Parking is convenient, and the location is great, only about an 8-minute walk from the ancient town to Guishan Park.

This B&B's rooms are equipped with a full smart home system and oxygen supply, plus a mini-fridge stocked with drinks. The air conditioning heating was very quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was also excellent and varied. Everyone at the B&B was so welcoming, and they even included pick-up and drop-off service. Looking forward to coming back next time!

The room design is really unique, and it has parking and a self-service laundry. It's also super close to the ancient city, just a few minutes' walk away. The breakfast is a mix of Chinese and Western, with coffee and an ice maker. The room is very spacious, perfect for a family trip!

My friend is an extremely light sleeper, even the slightest noise keeps her awake. But she had a very comfortable and peaceful sleep at this hotel. She said the mattress was incredibly soft and comfy, and the memory foam pillows were amazing. It's a shame they're custom-made for the hotel, otherwise, I'd buy them too! And the little dog at the hotel was super cute.

The best decision I made in Shangri-La was choosing this guesthouse; it single-handedly made my entire high-altitude trip enjoyable! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town's Moonlight Square and the Giant Prayer Wheel. It’s wonderfully quiet yet centrally located, perfect for exploring and dining out, then returning to a peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Most importantly, it came with an individual oxygen concentrator, which meant I wasn't worried about altitude sickness at all on my first high-altitude trip, and I slept incredibly soundly. The owner is super enthusiastic, offering free airport transfers both ways. The breakfast was varied, with delicious Yunnan rice noodles, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Any requests were handled super quickly. It offers an immersive ******* living experience while still providing modern comforts. Next time I'm in Shangri-La, I'll definitely stay here again. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Diqing!
