The hostess was incredibly warm and friendly, and the service was excellent. The breakfast was also good, catering to most tastes. The guesthouse even has its own parking and EV charging stations, which was super convenient for us since we drove. The overall decor is very stylish, and the room's hygiene was impeccable – very clean. They provide disposable mattress covers and toilet seat covers, plus an oxygen concentrator. My parents had a bit of altitude sickness the first day, and they felt much better after using it. We'll definitely choose this place again next time!

This homestay is absolutely beautiful and stylishly designed. The room was spacious, sparkling clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed—including an oxygen concentrator, which made breathing so much easier and ensured a perfectly restful stay. The rooftop offers a breathtaking, unobstructed view of the golden temple. I was lucky enough to get a room where I could enjoy this amazing view right from my bed. So impressive! The location is unbeatable—only a 10-minute drive from the railway station. Situated in the heart of the ancient town, we could walk around, explore, and find great food day and night. Plus, it’s just a 10-minute walk to the city’s famous landmark temple. The service was exceptional; the host and staff were incredibly warm, always serving hot tea for altitude sickness and providing convenient railway transfers. Lastly, you’ll fall in love with ‘Pei Pei‘, a massive, fluffy white Alaskan Malamute. He is incredibly playful, furry, and super cute!🐶 If you are visiting Shangri-La, I highly recommend staying here. It’s truly amazing and hands down the best accommodation of our entire trip!

Booked this room last minute, and it has an elevator, which was a huge plus – no struggling with heavy luggage! The owner was incredibly welcoming and even offered a complimentary drop-off at the high-speed rail station, helping with our bags too. There's a play area for kids on the rooftop, so I'd definitely recommend this place for families with children.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to a bigger room on the third floor with 3 beds and double sink spacious washroom. The roof top of the hotel offered great views of the Dukezong old town and temple and a great place rewind and unwind. Once again Mr. Ma Zhen and his family proved to be great hosts. So friendly and hospitable and went above and beyond with helping us. They even dropped us off at train station with goody bags and gifts. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

This was truly a delightful stay! The hotel provides oxygen concentrators and humidifiers, showing great attention to detail. The owners are incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making you feel right at home. Honestly, this was the best place I stayed during my entire Yunnan trip.
