Our stay was absolutely perfect, definitely great value for money! This guesthouse just opened in 2025, so everything is brand new and spotlessly clean. The room came with all the standard hotel amenities you'd expect, and the best surprise was a bathtub! The food was excellent too; not only do they offer complimentary breakfast, but the owner's homemade dinners were incredibly delicious – I highly recommend trying them. The absolute highlight was the unbeatable view from our room; we could admire the magnificent mountain scenery and the beautiful Tiger Leaping Gorge right from inside, which was truly a delight. The overall service and experience far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Service: The hotel has a restaurant and the food Auntie cooked was delicious, especially the Big Plate Chicken and the noodles for breakfast! Absolutely amazing! The hotel owner was also incredibly warm and attentive.
Environment: The hotel is super close to the popular Haly Way Inn, just 100 meters away! Plus, you get fantastic views of the snowy mountains directly from the hotel. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time!
Amenities: The hotel has a parking lot, so you can drive right up to the entrance!

My review is, absolutely amazing! The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is right outside the window, offering top-notch views at an incredible value for money. The owner is also super nice and welcoming. We got all the way to Shangri-La and realized we forgot to return the room card. We were prepared to pay a penalty when we contacted the owner, but he actually told us to just leave it at the front desk of our guesthouse in Shangri-La, and he would come pick it up later. I was so touched, I almost cried – I felt really bad about it. Oh, and by the way, the guesthouse offers dinner, and you absolutely *must* try the stir-fried beef and spicy chicken made by the owner's mother. It's chef-level delicious; I ate three bowls of rice it was so good!

This B&B has its own parking lot, which is perfect for self-driving travelers. There's also an elevator, so no need to climb stairs. Being on higher ground, the view is expansive; even from our room on the second floor, there were no obstructions. The owner cooks breakfast, and you can even ask for more! The bedding was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well! The bathroom had a dry/wet separation, and there was even a dedicated closet for hanging clothes! The overall design is simple and clean!
It's located right in the middle of the Tiger Leaping Gorge high-road trek, very close to the Halfway Guesthouse. If you want to go to the trailhead, the owner will even arrange and pay for a car to take you there!
However, there was quite a bit of dust in various corners. It would be great if the cleanliness could be improved.

This accommodation was nice at the halfway point but at the moment (May 2026) it appears to still be under construction on some parts. However, the staff are friendly, patient and communicative. The breakfast was nice and gave us enough to sustain the last part of the trail. I would recommend the restaurant at the bottom for dinner.

Great hotel near the halfway point. New and well maintained. Even with an elevator. Great View from the room and from the roof. Hotel owner even saved us! We went to Horse Tea point and it got dark. He picked us up and refused to take money!
Kind owners, great hotel and location. 100 out of 10! Highly recommend it!

The room was very spacious, and the surroundings were also great. The owner was incredibly nice and upgraded our room for free. I highly recommend the mountain view room; you just open the door to a huge floor-to-ceiling window with the Hukou Waterfall mountain right outside. There are also two National Geographic magazines in the room that are perfect for photos. The guesthouse offers free breakfast, and dinner was much more reasonably priced than at the Tea Horse Inn. It's also super convenient, just a short walk from Halfway.

The room looks very nice and modern with a great view, but the hotel looks still kind of under construction. They were working on the roof and we could hear the noise until 7pm, and the restaurant had all doors and windows blocked wood panels (I think for the same reason). Overall great experience and maybe in few weeks/months it will be completed 😅

Excellent! The owner kindly upgraded our room for free, and the view was absolutely stunning. I could just lie there and watch the snow-capped mountains. Their food is incredibly delicious too; the auntie's noodles were especially good. I regret skipping dinner to try out the 'Shuang Si Ni Balcony' – next time, I'm definitely having both!

We stayed in a brand-new "2-bed Room" for two nights. The hardware is excellent—everything is new, the beds are very comfortable, the room was beautifully clean, and the view is absolutely stunning. We were also impressed with the Kohler sanitario fixtures. The kitchen staff are accommodating, and prices for meals are fair. It's likely that since the hotel is so new, they are still fine-tuning the finer details of hospitality.
For fully independent domestic travelers, this may be a near-perfect stay. However, for foreign tourists who rely more on hotel logistics and assistance, some operational adjustments are needed:
Transport & Logistics: Be prepared to rely on local taxis, which tend to have high rates compared to other areas in China.
Pickup Service: The paid train station pickup recommended by the hotel was disappointing; the driver was unprofessional and drove in an unsafe manner.
Trail Guidance: The hiking information provided was basic and not fully adequate to prepare us for the terrain.
Pricing Transparency: There is a minor lack of clarity regarding small add-on costs for various requests.
Housekeeping: The lack of housekeeping for the second night was a bit disappointing, especially after returning exhausted from the trek.
Summary: This is a beautiful property with great potential. If you come fully prepared and do not need to rely on the hotel's local transport assistance, you will have a wonderful stay. With a bit more time to streamline operations, it will likely become a superb choice.

The room was beautiful and clean. Upon arrival, they proactively upgraded our room, and the floor-to-ceiling window offered breathtaking views of Tiger Leaping Gorge. It was also very quiet at night, which was great for sleeping. The owner's mother was incredibly welcoming; she explained the best parts of the hiking trail to us and advised on how to get our luggage transported to the foot of the mountain. The whole trip was very comfortable and enjoyable. Many thanks to the hotel auntie; we'll definitely be back next time!

I booked this guesthouse many days in advance. Even though there are many guesthouses nearby, I chose this one because it seemed more convenient for dining, and it definitely didn't disappoint me! My stay was fantastic. First of all, the owner was incredibly nice, and check-in was very smooth. They even upgraded my room type, which was awesome! The room itself was fully equipped, very clean, and had no strange odors. It even had a bathtub, though I didn't use it because I was worried about altitude sickness. They also provided body lotion and conditioner, which was so thoughtful. I had just mentioned that a four-star hotel I stayed in before didn't even provide conditioner – no comparison, no harm! The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered a truly beautiful view, and the restaurant's food was delicious too. Although it was only for one day, I had a very pleasant stay.
