The front desk staff and housekeepers were all very kind and friendly, which was great! The hotel's location is excellent; it's less than a 5-minute walk from Nanjing East Road Metro Station Exit 2 or 3. There's a Starbucks downstairs, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is right next door, about a 15-minute walk to Raffles City. The hotel breakfast was also quite good, and the room was clean (though a smoky smell seemed to come from the bathroom entrance). There was a crystal essential oil diffuser on the nightstand, which gave off a pleasant, fragrant scent. The teacups, coffee cups, and kettle in the room were well-chosen, showing the owner's thoughtful attention to detail. They also provided plenty of bottled water, which was a real plus! I really liked this hotel; it's definitely on my list of places I'd want to stay again! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Atour. The location is perfect. In a quieter area but just 10 minutes to the bund area, so extremely convenient and the atmosphere is good. The rooms are comfortable, the bedding is very nice, and the shower toiletries smell great. Another big plus is the awesome customer service, the staff was impeccable. A couple of downsides: 1) Poor sound isolation (but this is true in most Chinese hotels) 2) The cleanliness is at a high level but some small things are missed like fingerprints on doors and mirrors. 3) The breakfast is fine if included but I wouldn't pay extra for it. Coffee needs to be better.
